I would like to announce that my next release will include a Deluxe version for $5.99. It will include a slip-on case and a laynard reading "I talked with BoneyCork".

I donated and got access to v0.012beta RC7. It's much better with MP3 playback at 34% playback speed because of an optimized Java rendering core and trilinear texture filtering on animated ID3 tags. The public alpha RC3.01 only has bilinear. Also has partial support for GIF images but it's still very buggy, which can cause a crash and erase all content on your VMU. Because of a buffer overflow in the latest version available to donators, it can load arbitrary code which can launch a C64 emulator which runs a program for the C64 which takes all the saves on your VMU and makes it so you only got half as far in every game. Because of these issues which affect the VMU I recommend not using a VMU or using a dedicated VMU.

Thanks for the bug report bizzle. I have hotfixed this issue by replacing the C64 emulator with another copy of my PS3 emulator, creating a never-ending circle of crashing and booting.

I assume this is a port of nullDC or lxdream?

And btw the name is terrible...confusing to pronounce.

That is correct. Obviously playing PS3 games is a long way off, but I currently have several features emulated.

Actually you'd be suprised. With the scene's work on overclocking the Dreamcast, and a series of basic PSN games allowing us to work on basic compatability without being hampered by huge graphics requirements - I think I'll be able to get something up and running by the end of September. Obviously nothing in HD.

Also, I'd like .flv support for my vast collection of illegally obtained videos from PornHub.

I had a quick go of the emu, my biggest concern is the heat problem, the console has been turned off for several hours now but it's still too hot to touch, there's also a burn mark on the table where the machine was sitting, at the very least you should have mentioned this in the readme file.

I'm not accepting donations. This project is currently restricted to veteran members of this site and developers. Apologies for the lack of open-ness (is that a word?), but after this business with the PS3 Jailbreak I'd rather keep things low-key for now. If you're interested in contributing to the project, obviously you will get access. If you're capable of designing menus or testing PS3 games please let me know.

SIXAXIS is a hardware issue. Perhaps you could create something by welding the fishing controller to a standard DC pad?

I will not be adding .flv support as it conflicts with my vision of open web standards and drains the VMU battery life. Sorry.

It amazes me that there is any scene at all when people like you fart out such negative vibes about everything. I've busted my ass making this and all you can do is come in to moan. There are people in the world who would give everything they own to find a machine that can play games and cook eggs at the same time. You've got one, and you're not fucking happy. I thought maybe playing Uncharted on your Dreamcast in the dead of winter all cozied up next to your piping hot console would be nice. Sorry for being so wrong.

Could you ever get around to adding PSN support? I DREAM to CAST a Marvel vs. Capcom 2 match online through the Dreamcast's 56k modem.
