What's everybody looking forward to in 2010?
From reading one of my past topics it should be obvious I no longer play a lot of new games, but after doing my research I'm feeling quite happy with 2010. Here's what I'm looking forward to:
1) Final Fantasy XIII
Haha, been waiting for this since the day it was announced and it's the reason I bought a next-gen console in the first place. It doesn't seem like it's living up to the hype sadly but I'm a Nomura-generation FF fan so I should still enjoy it.
2) WoW: Cataclysm
More WoW content. I only play occasionally on private servers now, but I can't help but keep exploring when they add new zones.
3) Fallout: New Vegas
I wasn't looking forward to Fallout 3 at all, then I just randomly bought it and ended up loving every minute. I'm sure I'll enjoy this one too, although exploring a second wasteland might be a bit boring so I hope they mix things up a bit.
4) Dragon Quest IX
I still have no idea when this is coming out, but it better be soon. You can never go wrong with a DQ game.
5) The Last Guardian
New game from the team behind Ico. Should be good as long they don't get too weird
6) Super Mario Galaxy 2
The first SMG quickly became my favourite Mario game ever. I'm doing another playthrough right now. A 3D Mario sequel is probably a product of Nintendo's desperation, but I see it as a blessing in disguise.
7) Bioshock 2
The first one completely absorbed me and I'm looking forward to a second dose. I have the same concerns with this one as Fallout though - finding the right balance of new and old.
There's also these I'm keeping an eye on:
- New Sonic 2D HD game (the scale from awesome to shit is wide open here)
- Heavy Rain (same as Sonic, but I enjoyed Indigo Prophecy)
- Final Fantasy XIV Online (played the hell out of XI, this one needs to make a huge gameplay leap, and I'm not sure if I can play it in China)
- Pokemon HeartGold & SoulSilver (if I didn't play it, it would be the first that I haven't, but I am getting a bit tired of the formula)
- Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing (well...I like Maro Kart )
I assume there will be surprises/things I've overlooked on the way too.

Re: What's everybody looking forward to in 2010?
The final season of Lost is more interesting than anything games-wise I've heard about coming this year really, the new Fallout sounds intriguing but it'd definitely need to provide something new as I probably got approaching 120 hours in on that game and all the add on packs.
Re: What's everybody looking forward to in 2010?
I'd be very interested in The Last Guardian except I don't have a PS3. Blah.
Super Mario Galaxy and the new Metroid game look interesting, as does Red Steel 2.
I'm also pretty psyched for Pier Solar, that new Genesis game. I pre-ordered it already, and it's in final testing now. Also I'll be getting Fortress of Peril, a new NES game coming out.

Rock Band 3
Super Mario Galaxy 2 - MAYBE. I loved the first one but I wish they didn't have to do a direct sequel. But since I own a Wii and there hasn't been shit worth playing since the first SMG, I might as well try it.
Final Fantasy XIII - but I'll probably wait until it's cheap used. $60 is a bit much for a one-time-playthrough game, and FF7 was the only FF game I could play through more than once. Oh, and the last FF game I played was FFX since I was pretty much done with PS2 by the time FFXII came out.
Call Of Duty: Whatever - A new Treyarch CoD game is supposed to come out this year, a sequel to World at War which was my favorite multiplayer game in the series. I'm hoping it's better than that piece of dog shit Modern Warfare 2.
And since Soully mentioned TV, I'll throw in Dexter. Season 4's finale gave me goosebumps, can't wait to see what direction they take with season 5.

Re: What's everybody looking forward to in 2010?
Quite frankly, a lot.
The Last Guardian.
No More Heroes: Desperate Struggle. My girlfriend and I both loved the original, and can't wait for more.
Bioshock 2. I haven't finished the original yet, but she loves it and actually preordered the special edition (the one that comes with the posters and the soundtrack on vinyl).
Super Mario Galaxy 2. It's Mario. 'Nuff said.
Castlevania. The console ones haven't been so great as of late, but it's directed by Hideo Kojima and voiced by Patrick Stewart. How can that *not* be good?
The new Metroid game. Team Ninja is making it (!)
Heavy Rain. I loved Indigo Prophecy, and this looks even better.
Final Fantasy XIII... I don't really care that much, but Eva is a Final Fantasy nut.
Zelda. Yes, there is a Zelda game due out this year... so I suppose this should be on my list of anticipated games for 2012
Megaman 10. Loved 9. Wish they'd do something a little different with it, but more Megaman is still more Megaman. It's like asking whether I'd like a chocolate chip cookie.
God of War 3. I really enjoyed the first two (I'm a sucker for mythological settings), and while this doesn't really look to do anything different, I don't really have a problem with that.
DC Universe Online sounds more or less like City of Heroes with licensed characters (and on PS3), so that may be one to watch.
And I think that's about all my poor wallet will be able to manage. I still have several games from last year to catch up on (Uncharted 2, Ratchet & Clank, New Super Mario Bros. Wii, and Muramasa... and Eva wants Dragon Age: Origins).

Finding a job. Oh! This is the game section. Mario Galaxy 2, Fallout Vegas, Bioshock 2, Metroid. I'm also looking forward to Lost and the next season of Breaking Bad.

Re: What's everybody looking forward to in 2010?
God of War III - The trailers and gameplay footage make me want it.
Final Fantasy XIII - First major Final Fantasy game on a next/current-gen console. I'm curious as to how well they'll do with all the extra space and power.
Sonic 2D HD - It's nice to see they're bringing Sonic back to his roots. Lets hope they pull a Capcom here and do it right.
Mega Man 10 - More 8-bit platforming goodness.
Halo: Reach - It COULD be good.
Super Street Fighter IV - More characters, levels, rebalanced fighting system, etc.
I can't think of anymore right now.

I dont feel like playing much of what has been listed, sequels galore. I think I am just about done with new video games.

Re: What's everybody looking forward to in 2010?
My list is pretty short, but then again, I haven't been keeping up with what's due out for a while.
- Final Fantasy XIII - Hopefully its good, although I've lost faith in Final Fantasy (the last new one I actually played and enjoyed was 9).
- Ar tonelico III - Who knows if it'll come out in the US in 2010, but it's due out in Japan in a couple of weeks. This will be the one game that finally forces me to buy a PS3 (I'm somewhat sad to say, but there's probably no way this will come out on another platform).

Re: What's everybody looking forward to in 2010?
I have not seen a single game that I really want to play (cept for galaxy 2) this upcoming year (I also don't own a ps3 or 360). TV wise I am looking forward to more office, Breaking bad and Mad Men.

Im looking forward to FF13 as well, being that it's the first next gen FF, being the first in HD... but seeing them go with the exact same casting again leaves a little excitement behind... FFXIV, in the fall, will be the beginning and end of my life.

Re: What's everybody looking forward to in 2010?
Gaming?
Aliens vs. Predator - Seriously can not wait!
Aliens: Colonial Marines - cool, but haven't seen enough to get totally hyped
Bioshock 2 - nuff said. I really wanted the LE, but I can't stomach 90 bucks for one. It's just not worth it.
"Project Needlemouse" - Looking forward to more info on this. Never getting my hopes up for a sonic game ever again.
TV wise?
Final season of LOST.
Haruhi Movie
Rebuild of Eva 2.0
What I DONT want to see?
More useless guitar hero games
More shitty linear call of duty games.
Another Halo title announced.
More good DS games ruined by touchscreen-only controls.
