Though not exactly a game, I just preordered the Mother 3 fanmade strategy guide. It's a shame it won't come until April, though, because I'll have the game finished in the next week or two. I'll just have to play it again when it comes.

Got LittleBigPlanet for PS3, and it isn't nearly as boring as I thought it would be. However, I wish the developers would have created more levels. I know the focus is on user created content, but (as I suspected) 99.999999% of it is miserable. I wish that it was organized better through the game interface so I could actually find something worthwhile.

In any case, I'm enjoying the main game. I've never been one for creating my own levels or tracks or anything, but I feel I might give it a go here (and get pissed when I make something stupid and useless).

The way everything is organised on LittleBigPlanet is terrible. To find the good stuff you're much better off Googling around for it - a lot of sites have put up Top <whatever> lists, and http://www.littlebigworkshop.com has contests, fansites and stuff. There are actually some fantastic levels out there if you know where to look.

As for designing your own levels, I think the tools you have available are simple and fantastic. The problem is - there's no getting around the fact that creating anything half decent is still going to take a lot of planning and hours of your time. Most user-created levels I've enjoyed have gone through several beta versions and at least 40 hours of development. Simple as it may be, I just don't have that sort of time to commit to making my own platform game levels.

Got an Xbox 360 Elite today, which came with:

Kung Fu Panda
Lego Indiana Jones

Joy!

And I bought these all for Xbox 360:

Guitar Hero: World Tour (full band kit)
Rock Band 2 (game only)
Fable 2
Dead Space
Fallout 3

I reserved Gears Of War 2 LE at Gamestop last November, now that I actually have an Xbox 360 to play it on I'm going to try to pick it up this weekend. It snowed today and the roads have been pretty bad, it wasn't worth the trouble. I'm also going to try to pick up Left 4 Dead and some marketplace point cards.

Replaced some old ones:

Dead Rising
Marvel Ultimate Alliance/Forza 2 double pack
Shadowrun
Perfect Dark Zero
GTA 4
Crackdown

Bought some new ones:

Gears Of War 2: Limited Edition
Unreal Tournament 3
Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2
Condemned: Criminal Origins
Virtua Fighter 5 Online
Devil May Cry 4
Assassin's Creed

and some XBLA:

Duke Nukem 3D
Banjo Kazooie
N+

I've got quite a bit of MS points leftover. I'm considering buying Vigilante 8 since I loved the PSX version, but I've heard mixed reviews. Does anyone here have it and can they compare it?

Bought Army of Two.

Loving every second of it. Brought a mate over to play through it with, and the game does so many things right, it is unbelievable. Much better than the Gears' series was (co-op wise).

Well I bought a PS3 a few weeks ago and got Mercenaries 2, Assassin's Creed, LittleBigPlanet, Dynasty Warriors Gundam and Warhawk.

So far all have been pretty great(though the Gundam one loses it's appeal after an hour). I fucking love Warhawk though. I usually play it about two hours everyday.

Ouch. That's like buying the most divine sandwich in the world (Civ4) and then trying a turd sandwich to compare the taste (Civ Rev)
They both were pretty cheap (Circuit City going out of business sale), so I'm sure that even if I only enjoy BtS, I'll be happy with my purchase.
