Sylverant is a homebrew open source server for Phantasy Star Online. Dreamcast users still play PSO online with this server even today! This is the official forum for both the online game server as well as the open source project itself. Feel free to post and get a gathering started online! We can also show you how to get connected!

I tried this, too, and I crashed (not to mention made my Wii reboot itself) when the DC player used a switch. Items disappeared, but I'm glad I'm able to backup my save files now. It was a short-lived fun experience that I doubt I'd be repeating soon.

haha, it was fun while it lasted. If I am going to play with DC players, I will have to get my DC fixed. No more cross platform play for me.

The rebooting is expected when a crash happens, since Devolution basically works like a safety net and is able to bail out instead of just falling on its ass and buzzing forever like a gamecube.
^ Oh, the GameCube would do that? I can imagine the panic it can cause from hearing it. Great work on Devolution, btw. Are you still making updates for it?
^ Oh. Me neither. I just thought it might be bug/compatibility fixes, because I usually see those in updates that no longer add features (definitely or indefinitely) or anything.
Hey dudes, just popping in to let you know I'm back to working full time (or just about, anyway). Probably not going to be available for the regular, nightly games in the foreseeable future. I can't swing 11pm to 2am or later and still be productive the next day at my age. Those days are long gone, hah!
Hopefully I'll be able to check in once in a while though. I really didn't expect business to pick up so early in the year.
HotteLunch - HUcast
Gaijin - RAcast
MintChip - FOnewearl
MAGz - extra bank storage character; RAmarl currently
Hi, im new here, playing on Gamecube without Keyboard. My online expirience with PSO EpI&II on GC is nonexistent, once played on Dreamcast online but that is all. So i mostly played the Dreamcast Version 1 offline and a little bit Version 2, never really touched Episode II on Gamecube, just for the record. ^-^''

Hello, I am also new here. I used to play a lot of GC offline with my friends back in the day, and since been playing PSOBB on another server. I joined here because my brother wanted to play BB but his computer couldn't handle it. But he also has a copy of PSOI&II, so we both hooked our consoles online and joined this server.

if i have the jp copy, will i need the original serial? or can sylva assign a new one?
also are all the players together across all platforms? eg PC, wii, and GC?

You will need an original serial from some version of PSOGC. It doesn't necessarily have to match the version you're playing -- so, for instance, I can use my PSO Episode III serial number/access key pair with my PSO Episode I & II disc or my PSO Episode I & II Plus disc.
GC and Wii can play together with no problems at all. DC and PC can play together with no problems at all. DC/PC <-> GC/Wii is not a good idea -- it is possible, but usually players will crash and have other such problems during the game.

Hello everyone! I was thinking about setting up a discord server for game organization and voice chat (since some of us may not have keyboard, myself included 囧rz) on Sylverant...

Well, one reply is good enough for me!
I've set up a discord server for Sylverant users, the link to which is provided here:
Spoiler!
https://discord(dot)gg/ZGsGsZu
The invite has no expiry and no usage limit... I don't think that will be a problem but if we get flooded with spam I'll disable the link, and you can pm me for access!
Hopefully we get some takers, I've seen a few people on past few days but haven't played with anyone online yet.
