I am out of a job right now, so I was going to have to miss this pre order, but lucky it is a VERY affordable game. gameplay looks very basic, but I am doing this to support homebrew developers as I always do, no matter what the system is for( well as long as I own it, lol). I love GP2X dev, I wish I had one. I love that they made this for both platforms.

The gameplay is anything but basic. In fact, it's probably the deepest puzzle game I've ever played. There's a huge variety of scoring options and multiplyers and bonus counters and things like that. Plus, the game has something like half a dozen different game modes. The story mode seems to be *VERY* involved and varied (though I've only played the demo), including some cool little mini-games.

It's too bad the American dollar is so worthless these days, because that's keeping a lot of people in the U.S. from getting the game, I think. I hope everyone in Europe picks it up at least, though.

Yeah, in €uros, the price seems absolutely fair, but in $US it seems to tend kinda on the high side. That's a shame as this game surely would deserve some more attention.

Anyway, PlayAsia has the game as well, for $43 including shipping: http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-54- ... -31d9.html

I just published the news on the main page over at www.gamezoneradio.com
They may not have the thousands of listeners they used to, but still some advertisement.

Hi everyone,

I'm Yuan-Hao, one of the creators of W&W,

Christuserloeser: Thanks for posting news about W&W every time :D

Nico0020: Thanks for announcing the game on your website and for the support too!

However, I must say that W&W is nowhere as "a simple puzzle game" as it may appear. The story mode is very complex, with a Mario3-esque map, a shop, more than 50 unlockables, art galleries, bios, minigames, animated cutscenes...

Image

But I must say the one feature that made everyone enjoy this game on the GP2X, regardless of how much they liked puzzle games, are the infinite ammount of embarrassing situations that we go through as Amy learns that our game is not exactly complete!

(More screenshots and videos here: http://www.wind-water.net/screenshots )

And well, about the gameplay itself, if you're a fan of puzzle games I'm pretty sure that there are not too many puzzle games with such an in-depth gameplay (me being a puzzle fan and a very good Tetris, Panel de Pon/Tetris Attack, Puzzle Fighter, Pnickies, etc. player) as W&W. For example, one GP2X player called Shinra has played the game more than 100 hours! :o (do you recall the last RPG that you played for such a long time?)

And he's not the only one who has played for tons of hours, quite a few players have :)

So if you preordered the game (thanks!), I hope you come back to us and tell us what you liked and what you didn't, and hopefully tell others too about it :D and for those who are not sure about it, reviews are bound to come as soon as the game is released, which will help you get a better idea :D

Thanks everyone

Hey YuanHao!

The game looks so nice - I'm glad to see a new commercial Dreamcast release that is no shooter. I also announced it on SEGA-DC.DE (aka DC-Germany) and on my blog.

I really, really want to support this game. Since I was told where I can buy the game directly, I didn't preorder it. But of course I will buy it!
