Post by DaMadFiddler »

To promote the newly announced limited edition of Saber Rider, the game's development team has posted a demo that can be burned to disc and played on your Dreamcast. The download link is posted in the most recent Kickstarter update:

Earlier this month, we brought you news of a new Dreamcast (and SNES, and PC Engine, and PC/Mac/Linux/etc.) game called Saber Rider and the Star Sheriffs. The game is based on the anime of the same name.

The Kickstarter has since been updated with quite a bit of additional information, and the fundraising tiers have been reworked to include the Dreamcast version in the base goal.

The latest update announces a Kickstarter-exclusive limited edition of the Dreamcast and PC Engine versions. The limited edition costs $99, and contains a soundtrack CD, a poster, and different packaging from the regular edition.

Saber Rider and the Star Sheriffs is currently at $42,400 of its $75,000 goal with 10 days left.

For those interested, save a CD and run it in NullDC. If you watched the promo YouTube video, this is all it is. It's a 10 second slide show with music in the background and a star icon that appears on the VMU screen. There is no playable content.
