Kill Ryu Vol 1

A modder named "psmagazine" released a new mod for Beats of Rage a few weeks ago. He released the mod for PC, but vicviper74 has picked it up and created a CDI for use on the Dreamcast.
If you want to learn more about "Kill Ryu", you can check it out at Mods of Rage. Right now, there is a preview page with screenshots and a short description. Some time this evening, a download should be available, so keep your eyes peeled.

release has been around for a few weeks but never a offfical release for dreamcast. I went ahead and made it a .cdi for easy burning. A great mod!! And this is just vol. 1

I belive the game is not officially comming to dc

well any BOR mod can be for dreamcast its just the matter of making the image. if you havnt played Kill Ryu yet, its one smooth game. well worth the download. I'm just waitng for curt to add the link to the wab page.

The original modder said that an English version was on the way, but I don't know whether or not that will happen.

This mod is pretty nice, especially considering the small file size but it's REALLY short.

You would know about it because it would have been posted on the official BoR site unless somebody ported it with out permission and notifiying the Senile Team. Why somebody would port it and not say anything is beyond me though. Besides, wouldn't you need a mod-chip or something for it?

For any system besides Dreamcast you need a mod chip to play anything but licensed titles.

The combo in Kill Ryu 1 is pretty cool, but its so overboard, I mean so times, I go right through the enemy when performing the "shoryu reppa" like attack. And the enemies attack range is way to long. Its easy to get beat up by somebody halfway across the screen when I'm trying to finish another off.

The "maze" like part in the first level was pretty intuitive, I hate to know what would happen to the person who went in the wrong direction,

And it is quite short, only 3 levels (at least on easy mode).
