Yeah, yeah. It's like "peace on earth" during Christmastime or "God bless America" on the 4th of July (although for the latter you'd probably say, "I wish those goddamned colonies would pay all those back-taxes on this tea" instead)
Anyways, 1: I didn't know how to say "happy new year" and 2: my best friend, who's dad is Chinese (and thus the reason I celebrate Chinese New Year) would always say "gung hey fat choy".
