sometime soon i might need a scan

Post by ian »

well star wars 3 dvd comes out november... problem is we aussies have a new gay color coded rating system and baby blue isnt exactly a good color for star wars take a look here: http://www.ezydvd.com.au/item.zml/780285

and that blue sh it isnt a sticker :x its also on the spine

so i may need a scan from a place where there isnt a gay color system :)

maybe a few cause i dont want that blue on the disks either :P

so i'll stick up what it looks like and what another one looks like (ep 2) for comparison when i get it ... i would do it myselfs but photoshop and i dont get along :|

now you know my plans :P

It does it's job though. Parents are less likely to miss that then they would with standard rating systems.

Does Australia do the same thing with games?

Haven't paid much attention to it, but I spose if we have done that to games, chances are I would've noticed something that big and ugly. :?

"Gay". Tres articulate, Ian

That said I agree. That movie rating icon is horrendous. Perhaps they should have employed a gay guy to make some more fabulous and tasteful icons :)

BTW, why not just buy the real thing from another country instead of getting a second-rate quality cover? Or did you buy a region locked player?

Professionally printed yeah, but not professionally scanned which is most of the problem.

That's too bad you bought region locked players though. Are you sure there's no way you can fix them so they'll play anything? If you go to http://www.videohelp.com/dvdhacks you can find a list of button combinations that can correct the region lock problem. Some players need physically modified though.
