thats pretty neat, im going to try and decipher your pic (im very bored right now)
anyway, heres what i think you did, and feel free to correct me if im wrong some where

for your name you did a light blue/blue gradient for the fill
for the bottom half you did a render difference clouds, then did a circle selection copied it onto a new layer, then did a bevel and emboss to it, then you did sort of a red flame thing around it (maybe by feathering it or possibly a filter?) then you selected the top half and did an invert

anyway, there are a ton of really good artists in these forums, feel free to ask them, any questions you may have

well as for the red/black one on the bottom right, i cant exactly remember, i was messing around with a few different effects and i ended up with that, ill try and recreate it, and ill post a tutorial for it on a new threaad once i have, and as for the word "pure" on the bottom left, ill have to find that tutorial tommorow, cuz its 11PM here and ive got a nasty fever

and frankly you learn that these so called "tacky effects" is what sells, along with sex that is, could do more abstract stuff but i want to touch up my skills in the "tacky" arts, as you so blatantly put it Lupin[lvl]

hmm, no, thats incorrect, texts that look like they have been embossed, beveled, waxed look like what they are, texts with a bunch of cheap effects slapped on, and they dont sell. walk into a rental store and look at the video covers of all the popular releases, or a comic store, or computer games store, very little of them will have tacky effects laid over and over on them, often they are far more subtle and dont use such generic looking effects. if any at all. also, you are concerning yourself with what sells? as opposed to what is good, i think this is not the right way to view it

and multimedia courses, as anyone who has done one will tell you, really are a waste of time

hey i dont mean to come off all angry or what not, because im not, although i dont like being corrected when i know what i am saying

and of course it bothers me that vemon gets high praise over his initial d theme, when it basically copied the format i used for my own themes
