dreamcast vmu

do the official sega vmu turn itself off after you turn off the dreamcast?

No, you have to turn it off before inserting it into the dreamcast otherwise it stays on while the dreamcst is off.

ok, i have a problem with a vmu then. i replaced both of my vmus with new batteries and the on plugged to port a turns off ater i shutdown the system but the one in port b stays on. could it be a bad vmu?

i had the same problem, i just turned it off everytime i was done. then one time i forgot to turn it off and the batteries died and i never replaced them and just used my other vmu instead for the vmu goodies until i released there werent any worth more than 15 minutes of my time.

i bought some more a few weeks ago and they were dead a few days later when i only used it once.

I head it's better to leave the paper thingie in it whenever you don't use your VMU, otherwise it will be empty within a couple of days, like mine here.

Also, but those batteries on ebay. I think I paid 15 bucks for them in a store, while they can be had for way less on Ebay.

Batteries for $15?

Uh...I bought a set of batteries for like $3.50 at an electronics/photography store. They seemed to work fine in my VMU.

Is there any reason you should buy online?
