Dreamcast VGA <-> HDTV

Anyone got Dreamcast connected to an HDTV via VGA box ?

I am not planning to buy an HDTV during the next years but I wonder how good the result is. How does the picture compare with TV/DVD or 360/HD-DVD ? Is our favorite machine ready to compete with the next gen ?

All useful information that I can gather from reports here will be used to write a little article for the DCS Wiki

As you can see Dreamcast looks amazing on a HDtv via vga. It kills PS2 in terms of clarity and almost every US version of a DC game supports VGA so its great.

Yes, I use a VGA box on my KDL-32V2000 (Sony).

I just today hooked up my vga cable to my HDTV and it's REALLY nice. Only problem is that it shows jaggedies more, but the picture is soo crisp and nice that I don't really mind at all. By the time you buy the headphone to RCA adapter and extra vga extender, you're looking about 40$ worth of cables.

Kinda wish I didnt sell my VGA cable off now I got my HDTV, it'd be really nice to see some games with such clear picture...ah well!

I was hoping to see the screenshots too! I have seen Soul Calibur running on the VGA box and it looks just as good as anything out today...minus the per-pixel shading and advanced shader routines for textures.

Here you go I found a old post of mine on another forum where I posted them.

I'm using it on my moniter now and since it has Xbrite and Gloss shine is impossable to take a picture of the moniter without getting glare.
