Signs of your Dreamcast laser needing a little adjustment. If you check out the link I posted, you may be able to fix this.Link2k4 wrote:my friend Dan brought over his Code Breaker last night cuz he wanted to finish his game of ecco the dolphin (he likes to cheat on games} I had a dumb Idea and try to use it on my copy of JGR and guess what? IT WORKED! I kinda find that stupid that I have to use a cheap prephial just to run a game of mine and how come the DC can read it when using CB I find that stupid. OH I would move that black thing foward but I did that to my Sanyo CD player when song on CDs would skip in the very beginning and lets just say the CD player is forver broken

LOL I would if he would sell it but he is stingy. I wish I could though, Jet grind radio is indeed on of the most treats on DC to date.Caboose wrote:so your gonna buy the codebreaker from him?

I will try that soon, I hope I don't break it though, I am short of finances right now.

Both game and DC are ntsc/u so that is not the problem, i just got a copy of KOF 2k the other day for $10 for a anime store the problem is I need a boot disc too bad there isn't legal ones.
oh and ETR I don't have a problem with you

Acually, there are legal ones. Look for them at Lik-Sang. DC-X and DC-I.I need a boot disc too bad there isn't legal ones.
And if you're worrying about breaking it, by tweaking the laser, there's nothing to break, only as long as you don't get happy with the potometer and tweak it major. All you have to do is turn it only so that you notice a turn. Then try it out. Probably will take 5 mintues to fix.

apology accepted and I won't diss anymore projects, its hard to make stuff for DC and I am pretty happy with the emus we got.ETR wrote:oh and ETR I don't have a problem with you Wink
I think we can get along fine as long as you don't go super negative on another project.
And I apologize for the fat jokes.
other than that, I got good news my friend at the anime store can get me a "innovative" brand of a boot disc made by "innovation"so hopefully that will run it without screwing with stuff.

Now I'm not condoning warez in any shape or form, but this is where the obtaining of a backup copy should be perfectly legal. Where you go and buy something legit only for it not work, yet be in perfect condition.
My 2c
Unfortunately that's illegal here in the USA. Doesn't matter if you own an original or not, it's still illegal and you can goto prison for it.
