There is a chance after a long period that it may overheat (although i have left it on for over 8 hours to no ill effect due to the extra cooling I added to the machine).
Could you explain what you used for the extra cooling?
Thanx
The extra cooling was using extra chip connection with teh CPU and heatsink (paste and strips). My didital camera is a bit crap so internal shots are not much cop, as is all about connecting the Wire and pins. Im trying to borrow a better camera so I can post shots later on.
Is there a way to display the FPS on dreamsnes? I ran them side by side and the overcloced one was noticable faster Without sound it seems pretty much full speed. With sound it still was not. But it was noticably quicker.
If anyone knows how to get FPS displayed on Dreamsness then I will do a test for you.
I may be bidding against matt, threw a few bids in initially. Gotta see how much I need to fix my car. Is there a tutorial for this? I'd like to do this to my DC-PC project.
Need a Treamcast, Dreamcast modchip, HUGE DC memory card, ASCII-like DC fighter pad, or Saturn Gameshark with tons of backup memory? PM me.
You need a keyboard to show fps on DreamSnes and on most tv screens its till cut off the bottom. If you got a vga you should be able to see it tho.
Another thing tho are you seriously only taking bids from people in the UK?
Its an international bid (it states so on the Auction). i will ship worldwide.
I will set up a tutorial later on, however unless you are an expert electrician with the right kit its near enough impossible as it requires ultra precise soldering (You need to solder 2 .25mm legs withough them touching!
What button do I need to press on the Keyboard to see the FPS in dream sness?
You could use the first release of GP/DC. It displays the FPS by default. Without underclocking, it runs around 50% with no frameskip, or 75% with frameskipping. The newer versions are almost 100% speed anyway, so there's not a lot of point in testing them.
There should be a copy of it on the main site. I'm pretty sure they took it down from Consolevision and replaced it with the PVR version (which I'm not really happy with, because the PVR version is experimental and buggy), so they might have done the same thing here, so just in case...
