Dragon Chronicles Of Pern
Dragonriders is hardly a terrible game, but it has its share of issues and won't appeal to a large group of gamers.
Warning : Tell me Voice Acting?

Elemental Gimmick Gear
If you're into games like The Legend of Zelda, Beyond Oasis, Alundra, or the original Legacy of Kain, then consider picking this one up
Warning : Minimal Voice Acting

7.2 Review
Evolution
There is no real reason why RPG fans shouldn't go for this one; it's a genuinely satisfying experience, even if it is a bit textbook in execution and scope
Warning :Abundant Voice Acting

Evoloution 2
Evolution 2 leaves you with the feeling that its cast of charming characters deserves a more effective vehicle.
Warning : Abundant Voice Acting

7.9 Review
Grandia 2
Game Arts has put together a solid RPG with Grandia II, even if it isn't as deep or difficult as the original
Warning : Abundant Voice Acting

8.2 Review
Phantasy Star
Even with its shallow storyline and camera issues, Phantasy Star Online simply manages to be a whole lot of fun
Warning : No Voice Acting Whatsoever

With its better balance, new features, and addictive gameplay, PSO Version 2 stands out as one of the last great games for the system
Warning : No Voice Acting Whatsoever

If you like Diablo, you'll like Lodoss. If not, steer clear.

Shenmue
Indeed, while Shenmue is revolutionary, the game is far from perfect.
Warning : Fully Interactive Voice Acting

8.7 Review
Shenmue 2
It's a polished game that serves as a showcase for the DC and the evolution of the RPG genre, and fans should definitely find a way to play it.
Warning : Fully Interactive voice Acting throughout

Sliver
As a game, Silver is well-intentioned but flawed. It draws on a variety of console role-playing's staple elements, but never to truly great effect
Warning : Tell Me about Voice Acting

9.2 Review
Skies Of Arcadia
Skies of Arcadia is the product of a legacy of role-playing games that hearkens back to Sega's earliest days in the home console market
Warning : Almost No Voice Acting Whatsoever

Time Stalker
While Time Stalkers' story is passable enough, its contradictory dungeon, battle, and experience system undermines any hope you may have had of enjoying this game.
Warning : No Voice Acting Whatsoever

Evolution 1 and 2, Skies of Arcadia, Time Stalkers, Shenmue and 2, Silver, and Grandia 2. I have played all these, and find them all great for different reasons.

Evolution 1 and 2 are classic dungeon crawlers with many very classic RPG elements and of course has the other element of treasure hunting.

Skies of Arcadia has just about the longest story of any of these(save Shenmue/2) and i think is thought of as the best because of its similarity to later FF games. It is however independantly good, to me its largest flaw was the large amount of random encounter battles.

Time Stalkers is similar in many ways to Evolution, but has more treasure hunting and questing. Also, it sort of is flawed in that if you dont get a pretty good artifact then you are fairly doomed. I dont know if it was just me, but it seemed more difficult than it should be.

Shenmue was just a work of art. It can almost not be considered an RPG in the classic sense, and was very innovative. The graphics are also amazing and the story compelling.

Silver i never played completely through, but from what I did it seemed good.

Grandia 2 I played the PC version. Almost identical. Good game, standard RPG.

PSO and Skies of arcadia are both great games. (although I've only played the Gamecube versions  )

Btw, has anyone tried the eldorado gate series?
I really like the look of it, is it worth trying them out? (they're only like $5-10 a piece anyway)

I also don't consider Shenmue to be a (traditional console) RPG. Its hard for me to choose between Skies of Arcadia and Grandia 2 - but I'll go with Grandia.

...and you mispelled Grandia 2 in the poll. ;)

Just started playing Grandia 2, it looks great!
Need a Treamcast, Dreamcast modchip, HUGE DC memory card, ASCII-like DC fighter pad, or Saturn Gameshark with tons of backup memory? PM me.

I vote Record of the Loddoss War, even if it's not in the poll. :P
I can't believe you forgot to include that game, the ending took me by surprise too.

Record of the Loddoss War = Diablo 2 with just one weapon.

Not to say it didnt rock, i loved the game, and the whole weapon system was really cool too, with the runes you put on them. I should finish it, never got to it...

Damn, forgot about Record of Lodoss War.

I put stupid amounts of hours into that game. The character models were weak, but man that was a fun game.
