Saturn isn't really doing well in Japan, games stopped coming out regularly for it shortly after the DC was released.. I think there are zero new games for it in the past 12 months. It did WAAAY better in Japan then America, not suprising considering a large majority of the great games on Saturn were either Japan exclusive (Radiant Silvergun for instance) or manufactured much less in America (Panzer Dragoon Saga). Lots of 2D games, which tend to do better in Japan, was also a factor.

Isnt SNK dead these days as well? I heard they went under ages ago...

Also.... isnt XBOX now outselling Gamecube in japan.... Its just that PS2 is soo far ahead....

Gates should never have launched there first.... stupid.. Now its a good price... XBOX is doing okay..

SNK went bankrupt but were taken over by the Korean developer Playmore, they now own all of the brand names and series and are slowly building a decent name for themselves:

No, not even close..some weeks the Xbox is even outsold by the Wonderswan Crystal.

Sega all ready said they would not make a sequel. Maybe the mission based idea wouldn't be the best idea, but still a remake with better graphics, and a couple of new stages would be nice.

first of all dc failed horribly in japan and it did pretty good in the us dc sold 5 million in us and like 3 million in japan and 2 million in europe or so

while saturn sold 6.5 million in japan itself it outsold the psx the first 3 years and it was a succes in japan

You can clearly see there are more games on that list than just the dorikore re-releases.
