Yeah, I'm new to this. Only recently bought a DC. Seriously though, what's it like? What type of game is it? RPG?

Well it's considered a FREE in the genre listing, but that's just some PR hype. :) It's one of the best games on any console and would most likely be considered an adventure title with rpg/action/figthing/puzzle elements.

I would have to say that Shenmue is the best looking game that I have ever played with respect to the characters and scenery. It is one of the best games that I have played on any system. Some people thought it was borring, but I think it is because it wasn't set in a super fantastic universe but rather than a normal, actually believable setting. It is like real life. It is a great adventure game with some puzzle, fighting, and racing elements with a story about revenge and mystery.

I really hated how people thought it was boring. I kind of got angry about how you could skip to the parts in Shenmue 2. It was supposed to be realistic and time travel isn't very realisitic. :( Either way, Shenmue 2 was great, but I still prefer the original for some reason.

Really great game. I was hooked on it for three days straight until I beat it. It had a kind of weak, no wait, NO ending, but it's because it's only Chapter 1 in a series of Shenmue games. I really need Shenmue II.....

Took me two days to beat the game a few minutes over 50 hours to beat it. I pretty much played it all day and didn't leave my room. I also beat it a second time and got half-way through on a third. I was so amazed by the game...

Is Shenmue II pretty good? I saw it at Gamestop awhile back, I've been meaning to get it now that I just got Utopia v1.2.

Most people agree that it's much better then the original, which is true, but I enjoyed the original much more...
