You know the phrase "If you have nothing nice to say don't say anything at all?"

Just another boreing shooter to me. Looks like something you would have seen in a arcade back in the early 90's.

I guess if your a shooter freak its good. Other then the light dark switching and pretty 3D backgrounds I see nothing special.

Veggita2099 dislikes lots of great games. How can you say it looks like something from the 1990's??? It has polygons and is unlike any other shooter out there!

It is still a shooter. You can stick all the polygon's you want in there and its still a shooter. Yea so I don't fall prey to every game out there, whats the big deal? If I liked every game out there I would have a drained bank account and a empty wallet. I get so sick of everytime I mention something bad about a game I get to hear about how I hate all these games. Every post I ever make about how I like a game goes unnoticed however.

Face it, anytime someone don't agree with you it seems you find it neccesary to make yourself look smart and them look dumb. Big deal, it has a slightly detailed ship and fancy backgrounds neither of which effect gameplay. Other then the light/dark it is just your normal shooter with tons of crap spawning from nowhere and attacking you. If you think the game is worth 70 bucks then have fun with it.

Why do you buy new games? They are just detailed more and have fancy graphics, none of which affect gameplay.

They don't really effect gameplay, but are nicer to look at.

I was sort of responding to a post a few up, but you highlighted the point so I quoted you :| .

And not catch sarcasm?! I'm BRITISH! As far as us lot are concerned, sarcasm is the very highest form of wit :D !

Newer games are completely different then older NES games. a lot of them are 3D for one thing which changes the gameplay completely. Newer games usually have more of a story line. The graphics in Ikaruga did not make the game any different then any other shooter. Only difference in this shooter then others is the switching from light to dark. at least that I noticed. It is the best shooter ever, perhaps? I have made it very clear in the past that 2D Shooters never have interested me. I only mentioned this so that I now have crap talking rights. Gameplay wise Ikaruga could have been on the SNES, maybe even NES (once again GAMEPLAY WISE). Try and put Resident Evil 0 on the SNES or NES. Stick Mario 64 or Zelda OOT on NES. Only way you could take any of those games and put them on NES is if the gameplay was completely changed.
