Shenmue 2 finally comes to Oz

Post by Prophet][ » Wed Jul 31, 2002 4:28 am

Today I got home home to find a message on my answering machine
" Hey, Shenmue 2 just came in, Come down and pick it when you get home," so I grab my keys and rushed down to EB to pickup my band new shenmue 2. When I got their I got some pocksey story from the guy about he finished it like 6 months ago, I left this fool dribbling and rushed home. I've been waiting like 6 months for this and finally Australia gets it.

This is how long it has taken to get here, and I;m told it will be the last hit Australia.

You REALLY should have imported one from the UK - it was out last December!!

You wouldnt have had to use a boot cd or anything, because in the UK we are PAL aswell.

O well, enjoy Shenmue 2!

When you say you just got it in Austrailia, do you mean you just got the UK import? Or is it in english?

No its the UK import, but in a new box apparently.

I shop at Tea Tree Plaze, they have 1 or 2 copies of shenmue 2 left I think, and they have still have some new controllers, VMU's, Mouse and Keyboard, they're on special and trying to get rid of them
But they only have a few second hand games.

Golden Grove EB has heaps of second hand and new dreamcast games, well they did last week anyway

Poor Australia...

Post by BiohazardRZ » Fri Aug 02, 2002 7:12 pm

Being an Australian native I know how Oz more often than not has to wait forever for great games. I can't understand why Australia had to wait so long - being that it has been out in the UK for so long and we both use the same PAL signal. Usually there is a couple of month wait - but six months? Oh well - you have it now.

I now live in the U.S. and I was pretty upset when I found out Shenmue II wasn't being released here on the DC - but I imported it a while ago and finally got around to playing it and finishing it last month! It's a fantastic game! Enjoy!
