Fatal Fury: Mark of the Wolves Delayed!!!

Post by Chalavet »

Did I get your attention?

Alright, after visiting Swirlvision, I read that their recent interview with Agetec confirmed that the early November target release date for FFMOTW will be delayed due to issues with packaging, but it should be out before Thanksgiving. From the screenshots I have seen, this game looks like it will be the last great Dreamcast game comming to the states.

I'm guessing they're going to continue the obnoxious trend of not support VGA boxes, too.

I so rarely use my DC with a television, that those games are nearly useless to me.

well, the import of garou supported the vg box, so theres no reason, unless they remove it, that garou shouldnt support it. the import or even american last blade 2 did not support vga so they didnt add it. if they just leave the game alone, it should be vga compatible.

Doesn't work on the Neo Geo ports, unless you know something that I don't.

The swap trick does not work on a lot of games, snk or other company. like i stated earlier, the import one supported it, so theres no reason the us one shouldnt. i havent seen a case where vga support was TAKEN out.

Just a little update folks. I visited Agetec's website, and they confirmed a release date from November to: "before Thanksgiving." This confirms my original message.

I am not sure about anyone here, but I am definitely thankful for that!

Hey, I have the Jap version of Mark of the Wolves and I have to say that it's probably the best conversion ever of a Neo-Geo game. Hardly any animation was lost. It was almost arcade perfect.

Garou for Dreamcast is just about arcade perfect. animation wise, yes its flawless, but a (tiny) few game mechanics have been altered. two ive noticed is kim jae hoon's Hard Punch going into his dn, df, f punch kick move and rock can no longer cancel his hard kick into his double retsuden. but its still one of my favorites.

I hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving.

I am not sure if it did come out "before Thanksgiving," but I picked this baby up yesterday over at Electronics Boutique.

A few things I would like to note:

1) On the back, it does not have anything listed about VGA adapter support. So, if someone wants to give it a try when they get it, please post here.

2) This game is simply incredible! Graphically, I think it is better than any of the King of Fighter games (99, evolution) and maybe a hair better than Last Blade 2 (you make the call).

At $29.99, you cann't go wrong.
