Happy Halloween! (DIAL-UP WARNING: MANY IMAGES)
What's everyone up to this year? I went to two different parties this weekend, and I'm still debating whether or not to go watch the big city-wide costume parade downtown on Wednesday. There were some stabbings last year, so I'm not sure. If I had my own house, I'd be dressing up and giving out candy. But that doesn't really work in an apartment.

Re: Happy Halloween (in advance)!
I quit celebrating Halloween when I was 10. I'll be handing out candy to children, and kicking the shit out of teenagers trick or treating. That's my fun for the night.
Re: Happy Halloween (in advance)!
Sounds to me like you still celebrate Halloween....
I'll be in class until 9:30 at night, and I won't be home til after 10. So not much to do for me.

Re: Happy Halloween (in advance)!
I've got to work in the liquor store on Halloween night. Lame. It'll be a good shift, though. Lots of folks will be coming in costume and stuff. I get off at 11, I'll find something fun to do afterwards.
The plan was to dress up like Jack White and run around playing white stripes songs on my guitar... But I'm usually not in the most playful of moods after work.

I will be putting out a big empty pot that has a sign in it that says "take one please" so the neighborhood kids wont egg my house/car. Then, around 630, 7 o clock, I will be taking a trip to ambien island because I have to be at work at 1AM the next morning.

I heard Ambien is some crazy stuff. Do you ever get up in the middle of the night eating honey-coated cigarettes?
Seriously though, I've read about some crazy things people have done after taking Ambien.

Re: Happy Halloween (in advance)!
Ive done some wacky shit. One morning I woke up and I had bubble mailers taped to both of my feet and hands. I dont have any idea what I was thinking to tape bubble mailers on my hands and feet. Another night I woke up with a fork in between my toes with a hunk of cheddar cheese on it, and a big ass bowl of cheerios on the table in front of me. God knows what the hell else I have done after I have taken an ambien. I really dont like to take them if I can help it, but I know I will need it on Halloween. They are expensive too, even with my awesome prescription coverage. I hear they have a generic ambien now, but I havent filled a prescription in a while.bizzle wrote:I heard Ambien is some crazy stuff. 7:00...1:00...aren't you supposed to allow for eight full hours of sleep if you take any sort of sleeping medication? I dunno. I really try to avoid any sort of medicine unless I absolutely need it. It's been well over a year since I took medication of any sort, unless you count vitamins to fight the flu.
On an unrelated note, I added another Halloweenish picture to the top post.

Re: Happy Halloween (in advance)!
I thought this was a pretty good idea for a costume
I wonder how many people will actually think of this though.

Re: Happy Halloween (in advance)!
Joystiq is running a contest for game themed Jack-o-Lanterns. Over the past week, users submitted carved pumpkins, which the staff narrowed down to 25 finalists. They're running a poll now to pick the ten best, the creators of which will each receive a free copy of Dracula X Chronicles.
Voting is here; some of them (the WoW one and the Mario one at the bottom, for example) are quite impressive.

Re: Happy Halloween (in advance)!
I'm having a shindig at my apartment tonight. It's really my girlfriend's party, but I should have a fair number of my friends over. We'll probably hang out for a few hours, and then go downtown and see what's going on there. This year has been frustrating in the costume department catagory. I know the vampire thing is overdone and cleche, but I am a vampire fiend, and it really sucks being a vampire feind and dating a person who hates vampires...
