The most traditionally Mac-centered game developers are: Ambrosia, Freeverse, and Pangea. Also, check Inside Mac Games.

marathon?

anyway, are there any worthwile mac exlusives? getting a mac as gaming platform is pretty much a waste of money unless you use bootcamp + windows on it for games

...You and me both, my friend. I spent the last year with a horrid little Fujitsu (the details of which are chronicled in this forum), which has broken on me TWICE, still does not work properly, and actually came back from the factory put together wrong the last time. I'm sending it back this week for a refund, and I'm going to be taking that money and putting it towards a computer that actually has some quality in the design.

Also, are you aware of BootCamp? I'm not sure this is exactly what you're looking for, but the most recent version of MacOS lets you set up a separate Windows XP partition. Then, you can play whatever you want...and the MacBook has actually gotten some fairly decent benchmarks under Windows.

The whole Marathon series is now freely available for Windows, Linux, and OSX... and Dreamcast, but you'll need the keyboard.

...oh, I seem to recall there being this Marble Madness/Monkey Ball type game for MacOS that used the hard drive's shock sensor as a tilt controller. Might be worth looking into.

Yea, I'd tell you to dual boot.

I'm dual booting my iMac and can play the majority of newer stuff... anything coming out now that is graphic intensive may not run too well though.

I don't think there is any mac exclusive games. There is a lot of linux ports like Tux racer and stuff games like halo run but they are emulated so your better off getting the pc version and dual booting with bootcamp.
