Guitar Hero II Announced!

Post by GyroVorbis » Mon Apr 17, 2006 6:41 pm

I was checking IGN out during Java today when I saw it. GUITAR HERO II~??~~?

Surely you guys are as excited as I am. According to RedOctane, we can now play the lead guitar or bass/backup guitar. There are also a few other modes and extras including more songs this time around:

Comments? Where are you guys on the first one?

I have beaten every single song on Expert career except Cowboys from Hell. Very frustrating.

Great news.
I just passed the hard stage in the first one.
The mutilplayer should be a blast in the second one.

I read the same info on IGN just a little while ago. I'm pretty excited about it. I still don't own the first game...but I make daily trips to Best Buy and EBGames to play it. I wish they would add a fleshed-out bass mode...but that would be a bit beyond the scope of the game...

As successful as the original Guitar Hero was, I'm not surprised.

I played some Guitar Hero at the last DreamCon. I loved it. I haven't had a chance to pick the game up yet, but my sister's boyfriend just got it for his birthday. I'm going to have to pay him a visit one day to get gametime in :P

Considering my sister's boyfriend's birthday just happened about a week ago, I doubt it. Though, I remember posting about playing it at the DreamCon before. Oh, yeah - I remember - I posted that my sister's boyfriend's friend had it - and I mentioned that I didn't want to stop over to his house just to play the game since I don't even know him.

Though, now my sister's boyfriend himself has the game - and since I do indeed know him, I have no problem stopping over to his house to play it. 8-)

The topic you are referring to got lost in one of the many null purges anyway. So, it can't hurt mentioning how much it rocked when I played it at Magfest in the main boards. Since it did indeed rock.
