Is Dragon Song worth a play though. I heard good, and bad.

I enjoyed it, but I haven't actually ever gotten around to finishing it. I can't quite remember why either.....

I've heard mostly bad. Basically what I've heard is that although the story and style stays true to the series, the gameplay takes a dramatic turn for the worse. I've never played it just because I really haven't heard anything good about it.

I tried it for about 30 min. I couldn't put up with the battle sequence.

Yes, the battles are a bit odd.... but after a while you kinda get used to them... took me about two hours of gameplay to get used to it, and being to appreciate it.
