People around here tend to have pretty cool avatars, so I figured maybe we could have a thread fo explanations of just what the heck some are.

All I can say about mine is - Lego Star Wars II!

Not much to say. It's an old picture of me (I had just turned 18, which would date the picture to spring 2001), which I'd modified to use in promotional materials for a bluegrass band some friends and I started. We had two rehearsals before things fell apart, and it never got off the ground...but the pictures remain

And the picture in my sig was added after Impy recruited me for Screamcast, to signify that.

...I've thought about layering something psychedelic over all the white space in the picture, just to mix things up. Any thoughts?

I always try to have a Castlevania themed avatar, and I usually like it to have some connection to the most recent game. My current avatar is the cover art that Dawn of Sorrow should have had

My avatars change all the time. Presently, I am using val kilmer as doc holliday because it is one of the coolest movie characters ever, and kilmer was robbed by the academy.

Um, it's the Cadbury Bunny. I like Cadbury eggs. And I change my avatar monthly, so they typically have no deep philosophical meaning.
