Sadly enough E.T for the atari was the first game I played, its a wonder why I didnt give up on video games after I powered up that badboy.

I recall playing around with an atari when I was maybe 3 or 4 but my exploits with a plumber on the NES are far more memorable. Level 8 is such bullshit.....

I don't remember, I grew up around my cousin's Nintendo.

Got one for my 4th birthday, and that's when it really started.
Where's toastman? I'm bored.

I remember it plain as day.

The year was 1986. I was 4 years old. My parents were playing Miner 2049'er on the coleco. They would always let play the last part of the last level before it starts over (The game only has 4 levels, but its addictive as hell!). The first game i ever beat was Contra for the NES. It was about 3 weeks after it came out. My grandmother had bought it for me and my brother the day it was released. My god that game was fricken hard back in the day.

SMB at some cousin's house. I was probably 7 and it was some holiday party and the kids had a NES that we played. I remember I thought Luigi was pronounced "Loogie"

Proably a Commodore 64, but I can't remember exactly when. I would guess 1988, which would make me 4 years old. I can't really remember much before then, so it's possible (probable, even) that I'd played something before that but don't remember.

Probably a coin-op at the grocery store, or perhaps an NES game.

Extremely young memories of atari, woodgrain baby. 8) and also commodore 64 moments too. I can't remember which came first in my childhood, however.

My first taste of gaming came from the great arcade games of the early 80's...the bk down the street had a mini arcade in a seperate room of the dinning room. Then my older brother gave me his old atari 2600 with about 80 games..loved and still play yars' revenge, demon attack and others with my colecovision expansion module #1..which I like better cause colecovision controller>2600's controller....My next console was an nes, which I still have but no longer works, that I got for christmas in 1988.

The first time I even heard of sega/knew they had a console was with the genesis. imo, the best era of videogames was the 16-bit war between sega and ninty...they both brought out the best in each other...

the one console that I wish I still had was my turbo duo...damn, I miss that. ended up selling a few years back to pay bills

I don't think I ever played a game until I was 5 and got an SNES and Super Mario World for christmas. I played with my dad, but we didn't get very far. Then a couple months later my aunt got my brother who just turned four Congo's Caper for his birthday. Thats when I realized there was more games than just Mario. Then I started renting games from Children's Company (sadly replaced by a Staples now :( ) constantly. I remember being like 7 or 8 and accidently renting Final Fantasy II or III instead of Final Fight. Me and my brother took a while figuring out the game, but had fun. My first RPG experience there..

It's thinking...

Pitfall? Worst. YOU DIE NOW!

I still love that game for some reason.

And the music on Pitfall 2 is a ringtone on my phone.
Prophet will back me up on the greatness of that song.

He has hit his head on something, E.T. was clearly the worst 2600 game ever, probably the worst ever for that matter
