Do you have an HDTV?
This thread is started because I was looking at the pictures of a thread in the Xbox-Scene forums, and maybe it's just that people with normal TV's don't want to show off their leet setup, but is it really that common? I don't know more than 2 people with an HDTV, and no one seems to think it's anywhere but a big luxury.
Second question: Do you think you'll have one in 2008 when the TV stations start changing over to digital broadcasting?

I don't have HDTV and probably won't for quite awhile, though if one breaks, I'd consider one of the tube varities that are around 30 inches or so. You often see those under $800, sometime under $700 for an off brand. Can't play games with a rear projection TV, and the cost of an LCD isn't worth it to me.

I have a normal TV that is a few months old, so I have no intentions of getting a new one unless another 42" plasma goes on clearance at Best Buy for $200. Oh, the fights that thing caused.
As for the whole broadcast thing, I haven't received a television signal in 3 years, so obviously the switch to a digital signal will not affect me.

They are becoming very cheap. I went to my nanna's house today to hook up her new TV. It was a samsung and she said it was onsale for $90. When I was looking at it I noticed that it had Component video input. It may not handle the highest possable picture bit if I'm not mistaken it can take some sort of upgrade against a standard 480i.

i got a 14" standard TV, and ill probably keep this for a while, till im out living on my own and have the money for a nice TV
i have been eyeing the 17" widescreen LCD hdtv's (400-500 bucks for 720p) but compared to a 17" LCD screen they are just to expensive, besides, i dont have any HD stuff right now to play or whatever, id only consider one if i got a 360
but a bit more on topic, i myself am curious too how the 360 looks on a normal TV, all ive seen is the demo pods with the samsung LCD's
