Any of you guys buy the add on pack for this game?. If you gave up on the game because of the jet rape, the add on kills all that!. Pick it up and if you have what server you playin on.

i got the game, but havent played in a while, and i refuse to pay for the add on

basicly the game still has major bugs and flaws, which probably wont ever be fixed at this rate, and now everyone with the exp pack can go and flashbang and rape on normal servers too (giving them an advantage, only for paying 30 bucks)

i think ill try enemy territory: Quake wars, see if thats a good alternative, because i wont buy any BF game anymore, Dice/EA lost a customer on me there (not to say i wont buy any EA game anymore, just BF)

Enemy Territory rocks, so hopefully Quake Wars will as well.

Although personally I think it will lose some of its charm being human vs strogg ("I'm a soldat!" etc)

EA is a shitty company. They will put something out, but they wont fix it.

Supposedly the last two patches for BF2 fixed a lot of stuff, but I haven't tried. I got fed up with the game before 1.02 was out and haven't tried it since.

well, some stuff was fixed, but not all, there are still quite a lot of bugs out there, some which EA claimed to have fixed in one of the patches

and then there are balance isues... need i say more?

as for the new patch 1.12, the most it does is allow SF users to use their new weapons and flashbangs on unsuspecting non paying users

I played it, then decided that it sucked. It's just like every other fps but with better graphics, also the gameplay is too slow. I'll stick to ut2k4.

Yea and that really sucks....it went from jet rape to tear gas/flashbang rape. It really depends on the sever you play on imho.

well, i havent played since Q4 came out, havent patched yet either

i might when i get some more time to play, but if it sucks as much as i think it will, im turning my back on Dice for good

See, ppl tell me Q4 sucks bad while mutilplayer...so Im kinda afraid to buy that game...but then again these are ppl who are about BF2, who knows.

ok, i see how you could have misunderstood that

i hardly play games anymore right now, i remember not playing BF2 since quake, since i got Q4 at release date, and havent swapped the disc since, doesnt mean ive been quaking non stop

i only tried Q4 mp once, it was nice, but had a Q3 feel to it, and i prefer UT over Q3

basicly Q4MP is just a rehash of Q3, some different weapons, some other maps (like over the edge, a Q2 remake) and better graphics, some tweaks etc...

i like Q4 a lot, but for the MP i wouldnt get it

if you want to play a nice online game, i suggest you dig BF1942 out of a bargain bin, and see who's up with that, last time i checked there are still over 1000 people playing, and 1942 has been patched up to 1.7 or so, so balance and bugs should all be good by now...
