Clerks
I watched Clerks X, or something like that, which was a 3 DVD anniversary set. I rented it and I might buy it. That is some of the most hilarious stuff.

Besides the by far worst acting I have ever seen in a film, it had its moments. But oh.. the line reading...... not acting but reading... makes me cringe....

Personally I am from New Jersey so I have to like it. I actually don't have a choice. They were all actually given to us in the mail like little samples of tide.
So you haven't watched many things with actors in it? Have you?Synlor wrote:Besides the by far worst acting I have ever seen in a film, it had its moments. But oh.. the line reading...... not acting but reading... makes me cringe....

Acting isn't reading lines, acting is becoming the character and taking on his or her personality. Yes obviously they have a script in such, but talented actors and actresses don't just read the script, they become the character and say the lines as that character. There is a big differance.Orange_Ribbon wrote: So you haven't watched many things with actors in it? Have you?

I really don't have a favorite movie... I guess Lola Rennt (Run Lola, run) is probably up there though.
Those comments are based on my various involvement with differant theatre productions and such, not necessarily movies.

I'd have to agree that Dante and Veronica were unbearable at times (and ironically, the only people that were actual professional actors out of the cast).
Randal was great, and he had a realness about him. He really got into the character, and he's the sole reason that I enjoy the movie to this day.

Randal was great. I was at vulgarthon this year and Jeff Anderson was doing a Q&A with the crowd that will be on his directorial/writing debut movie called "now you know" which kicked ass by the way. Anyway, the reason he was "into the character" is because he IS that character. While he was talking to the crowd he was being a smartass, and making the same type of jokes/delivery as randal. Anyway, if his movie ever gets released on DVD, check it out, funny as hell as well as a love story. They were filming the Q&A for it like I said, but after the weinstiens left miramax, it kind of left that release up in the air as to when/if it will actually happen.MetaFox wrote:I'd have to agree that Dante and Veronica were unbearable at times (and ironically, the only people that were actual professional actors out of the cast).
