As shown here, it claims there is a small clip which is mirrorred on various sites.

I must be bad at google, but can anybody point me to this?

Either way, I won't be buying it. Unless the remaining RARE members can pull something out of their arses that actually impresses me.

I read that the people that did music for GE and PD are still in RARE, so maybe it might have some already music and stuff. But as far as game play, I'm still not convinced.

It's old hat that Rare dropped the cel shaded look. EGM announced it a few months back.

Meh. 1 screenshot and a short movie? If we're talking about Rare that means there is still another 3-4 years left until release. Usually sometime after its missed it's 8th-9th predicted release date.

And at that point it will be like a completely different game.

I've taken a look back on Rare's history, and to be quite honest, they've always sucked. Ever since the NES, they've had a few sporadic hits here and there, but in the great scheme of things.. meh.

They're my favorite game developer by far. Matter of taste, yes, but I love them.

I must post to add Jet Force Gemini to the list of exceptional Rare games.

I don't have an X-Box so I haven't been following what they've been up to lately, but man... I can't count how many hours I spent trying (and failing) to beat Battletoads on NES. It was such a great game.

No Jet Force Gemini was the exception, not exceptional. That game was pretty crap.

But yeah, Rare has some excellent games, especially Blast Corps. God, I love Blast Corps.

I think the clip they are talking about isn't video but just a crappy radio interview. I couldn't bare to listen to it for more than about a minute so you are not missing much, trust me.

I do like JD's new look though. Much better than the cel shaded look they showed in those early concept pictures.

That may have been the clip, but there was also a screenshot taken with a camera phone, and despite VGA quality, the screenshot looked great :-D

The fact that I had seen Starship Troopers just before buying it might have affected my enjoyment of it, but I was highly entertained by the graphic bug blasting. Plus playing it in widescreen with surround sound was a great experience.

You're allowed an opinion, but the only people I've found who try and retroactively make Rare look crap are ninty fanboys PO'ed that MS bought Rare out.

Their recent stuff admittedly has been crap, but they've been a quality developer for over 20 years.
