Last night's Andromeda (spoilers)
Was anyone else wowed by this episode? After a full season stuck in a strange system all of the sudden they are back out in the known worlds with the end of the 3 galaxies about to happen. Then at the end Earth was going to explode in 3 seconds and......To be continued.

Yeah after last season's finale they wrote themselves into a bind. I don't think they were expecting to get the show renewed for season 5 and had already pretty much finished up the storyline for the known worlds. It is nice to learn more about Trance and who Dylan really is though. I also liked when they explored the inside of a dead manmade sun.

Well as far as the ones shown here go & those I've read of they seemed to go through a try to make dylan the messiah, almost, or some such stupid he's the saviour of the universe type of mindless pap, as for trance well she's hot but that hot? its a little much dont ya think? & why would she be purple to begin with considerin the direction they went with her the second colours much more fittingButters wrote: It is nice to learn more about Trance and who Dylan really is though.

Trance sent the main characters through the route of ages prior to going supernova. She meant to send them to Tarn Vedra prior to the fall, but instead they got sent to it in the present time. The Vedrans have abandoned it and closed off slipstream, and they even took their sun with them! The system that used to be just Tarn Vedra is now a system with 8 planets, each mirror images of each other orbiting Vedran-made binary stars. This entire season was about reuniting the crew and getting Andromeda running under full power so they can get out of the "armpit of the universe."
Hi,
Fast question. Is this the last season of this show or will they be picking it up again for a next one? Now that Romy is back im getting interested again.........would be sad to end it completely now............Thanx for any info

Well it's really not that big of a deal because only one of the crewmembers gives a damn about Earth. It's kind of like an American giving a damn if a fire consumed Rome, they would pretend to care but not really, even though a lot of our culture can be traced back to there. The show takes place ~3000 years in the future and humans are scattered across 6 galaxies; Earth is little more than a rock.
For a viewing audience, seeing Earth about to explode is suspenseful. It does nothing whatsoever for the plot other than the fact that Harper is in a slipfighter inside the atmosphere, and one or two on the Andromeda would probably celebrate if it exploded because it would kill thousands of Drago-Katsovs.

Agreed. In one episode she traded places with a future version of herself, a "grown up" version. I think they did this just to cut costs a bit, it was taking like 6 hours to put the purple makeup on her everyday and she couldn't even go outside. iirc if she stepped in sunlight with the purple makeup on it would turn green or something.
