We just got DSL, and my dads computer is booting to a black screen. It's virus related, I know that for sure. How can I get around this?

Download that and burn it. It includes, among other utilities, a virus scanner.

A black screen, or a black screen with an error message on it? You can also try the repair install on the XP installation CD. That way you can at least try to recover some of your documents.

I've had that before. But I don't remember why, or how I fixed it. Rather pointless me posting this
