DS Owners

Post by AgentGreen »

Has anyone else who owns a DS experienced problems with their touch screens? For instance, if you press the Y button will the touch screen think you're pressing the far right edge of the screen? Or maybe it will constantly think you're pressing there? Or maybe it won't notice you're pressing it at all? Because all of the above have happened to mine today. Now I plan on exchanging it for a new one in a few days but first I want to see if this is a common problem or if this DS is just one bad onion. So has anyone else had problems like these?

My brother has one and the only problem he's had is the A button sticking. He managed to fix it though. Just take it back. That's a defect that should not exist and I've never heard of.

I agree, try calibrating it, and if that doesn't work then return it. I've had no problems with it either.

Well I recalibrated the touch screen twice before I posted this, it was during the second recalibration when i experienced the total lack of touchscreen sensitivity. So judging by the posts of other DS users, I got handed a bad onion. Hopefully my local Best Buy has some in stock that I can exchange it for.

You can return it if an item is defective, for an identical one. It says that on your sales receipt. You just have to exhange it for an identical item. Besides, even if the store won't take it back, it's under warranty from Nintendo.
