You know that Game Tux Racer that came bundled with some linux distribuations?...Well the other day at a shopping centre, I walked into the arcade as usual and what do I see in the new game section, TUX RACER!!! I was like WTF...so has anybody else seen this although It's pretty laggy...slow as if being played on a Voodoo2 on a PII.
arcade is just kind of.... well, throw some quarters in.... bright lights.... umm, waste 20 bucks, feel depressed, get a little toy, ahhhh, the arcade.
...America mustn't like Arcades or something...In australia most shopping centres, well decent ones anyway, have them . But yeah seeing tux racer was kind of weird for me :/

It's not that we don't like them, just pretty much outgrew them. My dad ran one when I was really young, but that was when arcade games annihilated anything on consoles. They're still around a bit, but most are way too expensive per play to be any fun.

i agree. i still like arcades, but rarely ever get to go to any of the local ones because to have a "good" time, we have to pay almost $30 per person in tokens. now if i can find some cheap "current" arcade cabinets, id make my own small arcade in the basement. much more inexpensive in the long run.
