An odd Windows problem...

Post by Luriden » Tue Jul 13, 2004 12:46 pm

I can't copy and paste! I can click Cut or Copy, but Paste is greyed out and ctrl+v won't work. I can't even drag any items with the mouse. WTF is wrong? I might have to reinstall Windows.... I'm on Win2k Pro if that's any help.

That's happened to me before, but it fixed itself(for reasons unknown). But I'm using XP pro. Sorry I can't help.

Happened to me during an infection of MSBlast, or one of it's variants.

What about a system restor, have you tried that, or did they not have that on Win2000, I can't be sure?

What version of IE are you using? I had this problem and then installed the newest IE and it ... fixed! The problem I had was only cutting and pasting of files, not text, which still worked fine.
