I wonder when we'll actually see a U.S. soldier in green camo. Since the middle east exploded, our guys have been wearing desert camo for the past 20 years.. even in the states.. shit, when's the last time you've seen an Abrams tank that isn't tan? Since it's birth, it's been tan. Because there hasn't been anywhere else to use it.
It's just an interesting thought, I guess. How an entire generation has seen our troops in desert camo. Kind of defines an era. Even the smallest things. I wonder if the troops stationed in Germany even wear desert colors.. just out of tendency..

Cool. i was promoted to PFC last month. unfortunatly that still means nothing. except maybe we can fight in the ultimate deathmatch and final battle between the marines and the army (although i'm only in the reserves ... for now)AuroEdge wrote:PFCCovar wrote:what rank?
actually the army still wears woodland camo in the states. well the new uniforms are actually closer to a greyish/green, but not everyone has them yet. as for the vehicles my unit doesn't have any tanks, but all of our trucks are green except for about 5 or 6 that went to iraq.Mr. Jeeba wrote: I wonder when we'll actually see a U.S. soldier in green camo. About the desert cammies, we wear green cammies too Jeeba. Certain places wear certain uniforms certain times during the year. I think at Camp Lejeune they wear deserts the first 7 days of the month or something.
