So...thats the end of college
Before I continue: In the UK, College isnt University. Its a place you go between 16-18
Anyways, I finished college today, had my last day of lessons. Said goodbye to quite a few people I probably wont see much of anymore. Obviously I'll still my friends who live near me and went to my High School, but those who I met through college and live nowhere near me, I doubt I'll really see again.
Its amazing, I cant believe its been almost 2 years since I was talking about doing my GCSE's and now I've finished my A-level course.
I still have my exams in a months time, but I've only got 4 to do, and Im into the university I want to get to regardless.
Anyway, I guess I just made this topic cos Ive just realised how different everything is going to be from now on. All my friends are moving away, we're all pursuing different things, meeting new people etc. and its now finally time to start "thinking about our futures".
Its a weird feeling...everythings changing

That's what we woulda done in Secondry(high) school / Sixth form over here.area wrote:What, if any, pranks did your year pull? The upper sixth who left at my school did several entertaining things, not least unscrewing the Male/Female signs on the toilets and switching them around
Collage is a little differant here.
Uni is where the pranks come.
Schools are very differant from American ones.

I've just finished sixth form a few weeks back and have 12 exams ahead of me now (starting tomorrow)
It is really weird not seeing everyone every day, I still see my friends about once/twice a week (due to everyone having to revise atm) but it is really weird how everything has ended - our last day just seemed surreal
Mixed feelings about next year, none of my friends are going to the same university as me, we will be scattered all over the UK and I'll hardly ever see them in person

You can do a third year in sixth form but it's very rare.arcticfeather wrote:Aren't Upper Sixth Year 14 in England too? (assuming that's where you are)area wrote:I was talking about the Upper Sixth who left - Year 13, aged 17-18
Upper Sixth is Year 14 over here in Northern Ireland
Generally we finish secondry school in year 11, then yeah 12 + 13 are sixth form.
