Pink Floyd - The Division Bell

First CD I've bought since Jan. 18th. Used copy, scratched to hell, and probably the last CD I'll buy for a long time.

In my opinion, a very underrated album.

Yeah, it's my favorite Pink Floyd album.

But then again the only other albums I've only heard are DSOTM, WYWH, and bits and pieces of The Wall.

George Harrison (& friends) - Concert for Bangla Desh

I've been meaning to get it for a long time, but I kept putting it off because of how expensive it is. I finally bit the bullet this week, after realizing how much more I spend on video games than music, and how much more I use my CDs than my games. Oh well...at least a portion of the sale goes to UNICEF.

Incredible album. Just incredible.

I have those. Mwhahaha! The only ones I don't have on vinyl are the self-titled and all of them after The Game (....which is about half of them I suppose).

IIRC though Jazz is warped pretty badly. We had all our vinyls in a closet with a water heater on the other side of the wall, and it leaked. So many good records ruined, including The Wall which was my dad's favorite album of all time.

roy orbison - king of hearts. $20

FUCKING AWSOME.

i actually ordered this AGES ago but they cancelled it on me and i was really pissed off BUT, while looking for cheap movies at jb hifi my brother went looking for cds. he got 4 more orbison cds and i saw that he left king of hearts on the shelf i almost slapped him. as i LOVE these songs. except cryin' with k.d lang. WHY THE FUCK DOES SHE SING THE HIGH NOTE OF IT????? now k.d lang is a fucking awsome singer but next to roy she just sounds pale.

8 of the 10 songs are ones roy wrote. and the 2 that he didnt jeff lynne produced so they came out good too :P

next for me is either this new travelling wilburys project i'm hearing romours about
or something french and electronic. but untill then i'll listen to king of hearts over and over again. ITS THAT GOOD, it is :P

David Bowie - The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars

It's funny; I have Labyrinth because I'm a rabid Henson fan, but I was never much of a Bowie fan until I started watching The Venture Bros.

Bright Eyes - Cassadaga.

Check out the sixth track if you DL anything from it. I'll bet it's got the words "soul singer" in the title. No tracklisting on the CD--so I'm not sure.
Where's toastman? I'm bored.

Ditto. I'm trying to mellow a bit...ya know...slow life down a bit so I can notice the details I've been missing my entire existence. And...I figured this album would be a good diversion from all the screaming I'd been listening to recently. I really like it.
