I can not close Windows Media Player 9 no matter what I do!
I've tried clicking the 'X', going to 'File ---> Exit' and using 'Ctrl+Alt+Del' but WMP9 will always stay open, no matter what I try. Has anybody else had this problem? It disappears from the screen and taskbar, but it's still working on the computer, slowing everything down and sucking up processing power and trying to keep accessing sites.

Press CTRL, ALT + DEL, but instead of clicking 'end process', right clickit and press 'go to process', then end that.

WMP 9 has some weird side effects. For example when I upgraded to WMP9, I could no longer use Easy CD Creator 5. M$ is aware of that problem. I had to downgrade to Easy CD Creator 4.
Also, whenever I play a video using the xvid codec and then close WMP9, it will not open again (gives me an error message). In order for me to use WMP, I have to reboot my comp.

I have multiple copies of Nero, from various burners.
If I get a new burner etc to install in work. I can take the software etc that comes with it. Same with all other hardware. Pretty sweet.

It's the full version of Nero, it just has the creative-only serial on it.DetunedRadio wrote:I got nero, but it was made for creative drives only, which sucks..

It's the word censor. Gotta be the best word replacement I've ever seen. Speaking of which, would some change some of the words to something better. someone edited his post???
I tend to just use WinDVD for all video files and then Winamp 2 for audio, but my sister insists on using Windows Media Player because she's gradually got used to it after me being a lazy arse and not downloading Winamp for the first few months since we had a new PC .
