it is from the playstation remakeof the game. that is a shot of the intro movie. i captured it to my cmoputer and resized and edited it a little.

isn't Lina 'Chan (and productions) translating the Japanese PSX version? I was always curious what was in the PSX version that was different than the SNES one. I find it a shame that Tales of Destiny (and the other Tales of...) were brought to the states but not Tales of Phantasia ~_~

Basically the main differences between the two versions:

1. Redone music. same tunes, just sound a LOT better than the snes version

2. Redone menus in the Eternia/Destiny 2 style. the characters now have drawings in their menus like the sequels.

3. Not major but very helpful at times. your characters can now walk diagonally.

4. The battle system has been reworked. its midway between deatiny and eternia as fr as speed goes. its faster than destiny and now allows multiple hits like eternia, but is not as combo heavy or as fast as eternia.

5. in the hidden ninja village, the main ninja girl can now join your party. forgot her name off the top of my head.

and leboaoug, the gameis rpetty hard to find nowadays, but search around some import shops may have some remaining and looking to get rid of. and it got released as a "psx best choice" title for 2500 yen. so try to get it if you can.

I forgot where I got mine from, but it's a picture then I used Irfanview and had an explosion effect.

Well, I finally got around to adding my avatar. It's from PSO obviously.. I started using MG when I started playing PSO online.
