Well, wouldn;t it be cool to actually meet the devv
er of dsnes see the latest betas, have free (homebrew) gd's and cd's going around through the crowd and playing quake 3 arena on dc or unreal a huge projection screen with VF3, MVC2, SC, MOTW, Tekken 3 tournaments. Plus having a fundraiser to buy the rights to (insert unrelesed dc game here) and attracting small deveopment groups to see the DC community's size. Even atari jaguar has a convention, why don't we our homebrew scene is 100x bigger than theirs. We could have all sorts of import games too for sale at low prices (possibly if preorders were placed for bulk prices at lik-sang) that would be so cool plus all of the people it would be great. Why not?

Well, given the limited appeal of the idea compared to, say, E3, we wouldn't have many turning up. Plus, everyone's spread across the world - UK, Japan, US, Australia. If one was held, I wouldn't mind going - meet the people I've help/bitched about/offeneded/whatever, but I don't see it happening. Would be cool though...

the dc has no real presence in e3 and we could have a continental us convention if people want to come from around then ok.

Sorry to point it out Jeebs, But 25% isn't a third. It's a quater(sp?). A third of 100% would be 33.3333333etc%

It would be kinda cool and all, but i highly doubt it will ever happen. not trying to be rude, but even if it did i probably wouldnt go. The amount of money it would cost to go from this state to another is insane, and if i decided to drive, that is still expensive. not to be rude, but i would rather drive from IL to TX to see my brother [which is about 1200 miles each way]. Overall, even if it did happen, i dont think the turn out rate would even be enough to pay for the cost's if admission was charged.

I think we should just send OneThirtyEight, he's politically neutral, and the appearance of us at a convention owuld be less than desireable.

Still, cool idea... I always thought a big e-convention owuld be intersting, although hard to put together...
