Poll: Does DCEmu need to be in multiple languages?

Post by Master Higgins »

DC EMU is the best DC site on the web the site caters to people from all parts of their world. People who want to Homebrew DC games from such games as IRIS 3D to the scores of language setttings in DCSNES we are a multi lingual community and many of us do not have English as our mother tongue so there fore I would like to ask if whomever who has the ability could make a Foreign Language board for Spanish and Italian and possibly French? I think that there are enough Spanish speakers at least to qualify for a spanish board.

PS. I Myself Am a Spanish speaker pardon me for any misspelling in Italian or French they are both third languages for me

I think the problem with it is we would need someone to moderate the forums that we can trust. In the past people have posted warez talk in foreign languages.

True but then again people could use codes and messages to post warez talk in english so I mean same difference plus I would gladly administrate it although I still only have one star. and could only competently regulate spanish and italian

The only thing I can say is... DCEmulation is an English speaking site (more or less ;) ) for English speaking peoples of the world (once again the whole "English speaking" thing is debateable). If you and some of your Spanish friends want to start a Spanish site dedicated to amateur development on the Sega Dreamcast, you will find nothing but support from the people here (I'm going on faith for this one). If you want to affiliate, become a sister site, etc... you would then hammer out the details with 007Cheater or maybe even Sin-tex and Dr. Zoidberg. It's just that I don't think DCEmulation was intended for a multi-lingual audience.
Basically what I'm saying is that it is you who has the ability to make a multi-lingual forum for the multi-lingual DC fans out there.
Remember, DCEmulation wasn't the first site, it was started by someone who saw a good idea and decided to do it himself.

Back when DCEmu did have one, I think I asked something about DreamSNES in Ebonics. They locked it.

What about Dutch :D. As I said before bringin the multilanguage forum back wouldn't be bad. Not only for users also for devvers. Many devvers that come here haven't have English as their language.
but than again, support to devvers don't seem to important here for some moderators and I'm not talking about Reaper

And cut the crap that was warez stuff posted! If you don't understand the language that doesn't mean that when you read something you can understand (CD-R, ISO for example) that it is about warez.
