What happend to Sony

Post by Dbztrunks1020 »

It sucks when a company becomes corupt after one of there systems sell well I mean they straight up lied to the world about the PS2s poly performance. If this keeps up by the time they do have a system that can do that then they will be saying that it could do 56756877698698980909800 polygons a sec

MS do exactly the same thing with Xbox - give a high maximum polygon count that is completely meaningless becuase it can never be achieved *in an actual game*.

Meaningless Polygon numbers are the new meaningless 'bit' numbers! :|

All spec numbers are meaningless.
I didn't download Nester because the NES had 'leet' graphics.
I downloaded it because after all these years, Megaman still kicks ten kinds of ass.

True, and the release on playstation 1 looks exactly the same as the release on the NES. So Sony to me has never proved a thing really.

I think it is ten kinds per game. You have the eight robot bosses. Then you have the fake end boss like Dr. Cossack or Dr. Doppler. Then you have the real end boss like Wily or Sigma.

All you have to do is reduce the triangle count by 2/3rds whenever you hear Sony/Nintendo/MS shouting out system specs. It's just hype.

I like the old Megaman games (1 through 8). I never liked the X series.

you do realize how insanely easy modding a psx is right? its not hard one bit. in fact only console easier is a saturn.

If you've got a parallel port in the back of your PSX, you might want to buy a Goldfinger 2-in-1. Goldfingers are $30 at my local shop, and they let you boot imports/backups, use GS cheats on it, browse the disc for movies, play GB games (just the black and white ones, it has a GB cart slot for it), use GS cheats on the GB games, draw a border around the GB game (just like Super Game Boy), and listen to music while playing GB games instead of playing the music. You can also view the last thing that was on the PSX screen when it was last turned off, so you can see if anyone was playing your PSX besides you

There could be an updated GBA or GBC one by now, too.

EDIT: If you find a 3-in-1 model, it allows you to take GB ROMs off of a CD and write them on to carts...
It's thinking...

My ps2 was easier to mod then a saturn. Easiest chip I seen for the Saturn still had several solder points.

And to figure out the Sega poly count, multiply by 2. Then use the nearest PSX/PS2 as a shotgun target, because that is the most joy it well ever bring you.
Need a Treamcast, Dreamcast modchip, HUGE DC memory card, ASCII-like DC fighter pad, or Saturn Gameshark with tons of backup memory? PM me.

The SNES Megaman x3 is superior to the psx and saturn versions

The saturn version is the worst of the 3, cause it has a border throughout the game, i have it, and the snes one. I've played the psx one.

As far a saturn mods, those are very very easy, 2 soldering points, psx you just need a game hunter or boot disc.
