Isn't it weird to ponder..
How we are the first generation to use computers, and leave our electronic messages to be relayed to future generations? I mean... Think about a small kid,in a hundred years, Looking at all these posts(if someone archived the forum) and thinking, " all these people were so young, and now they're all dead." All we will be remembered by are our posts, and websites. Eh.. Death... Way scary shit. I've lost sleep over it before =\

Yeah, whats really gonna be interesting is seeing the long term effects of all the new things we are exposed to. Microwaves, tanning beds, cellular phones, computers, internet (like global e-commerce, and talking to people from all around the world getting different perspectives). We're definitely a bunch of guinea pigs... things are a lot different now than they were 10 years ago, that's for sure...
The only limitations we have, are the ones we set for ourselves...

and
if you run out of food there's probably a load of people on ice expecting you to cure them at some point, don't worry they won't know.

Why?, once you realise that every biological entity dies and accept your own inevitable death then you become free.Jeeba Jabba wrote: Death... Way scary poop. I've lost sleep over it before =\

we are not the first generation to use computers. the baby boomers (well computer geeks of the 60s) were telneting each other back then. musta been really fun chatting plus smoking a blunt. damn things never changed.
I am no longer an ACE@ite. Never will I kiss his feet is what I don't. And that I don't, is good I do.

The scary thought is not leaving your mark on the earth and just being another statistic. I hope in a hundred years that at least some people know my name because I do/make/become something worth remembering.Jeeba Jabba wrote:How we are the first generation to use computers, and leave our electronic messages to be relayed to future generations? Technology has only made up dependant upon virtual information. We have distanced ourselves from the real world. How often do you walk to your friends house and talk, in comparison to messaging or phoning him/her? Technology has made people lazier, and has enabled us to do more with less. Thats why obeseity (dont know if I spelt that right) is a concern with people today.

if you are looking back from 100 years from now, a 'pie' is a type of food consumed orally, make of
'pastry' - a mixture of flour, and milk or water
and a 'filling' - this filling can be anything, usually organic and of an agreeable taste.
you make a hollowed cylinderical shape without the top cap and put the filling inside, then cap the top with another round piece of pastry. the pastry is often cooked previous to this, cooked until golden brown. once this is all prepared it is usually baked until hot throughout, left to cool then eaten.
if you are looking back, go make a pie. it tastes good.
hey i gotta make sure pies live on in the future

I thought the exact same thing. A hundred years ago, people were told to start smoking because tobacco was supposedly a miracle drug that would cure all kinds of diseases and prevent future sicknesses. They would have never guessed back then that smoking was actually the reason they were getting so sick! Who knows what humans will discover a hundred years from now about all these modern 'miracle' products.Narcissus wrote:Yeah, whats really gonna be interesting is seeing the long term effects of all the new things we are exposed to.
