Yoshi's Story (n64 game)

Post by Veggita2099 » Thu Sep 12, 2002 12:50 am

I recently got this game. Maybe my manhood is in the way, but this game seems VERY childish. I mean the way the story goes, Yoshi's act etc. I mean was this game meant for kids or something? I mean seriously I am on Page 5 and so far it has been extreamly stupid and very easy. And yup this is coming from the guy who thinks GTA3 is hard and hates Mario Sunshine cause of Jumpiness.

lol, yeah, that game is meant for kids. My friend would sit down and beat it in like an hour or less when he was bored just for the hell of it. You aren't going to find much of a challenge, or even a particularly deep plot.

Yoshi's island for the SNES (and soon or now for GBA) is better (longer, more challenging, and cooler hand drawn graphics).

I beat that game. My cousin (who was 10 at the time) bought that game. He loaned it to me and I beat it. It was kinda kiddy made, but fun at the same time. I don't consider it the Best Platform game ever though like some people do.

Oh well as far as Yoshi's Story Goes I guess it will be easy beatin's... That means no cussin's!!!! For what I paid I guess its ok.

Actually, theres some surprisingly deep hidden gameplay in Yoshis Story, and it'll keep you playing longer than you thought it would do if you're a completist.

After you've unlocked all the levels (I think theres 4 seperate ones on each page from memory) and got the secret Yoshis it can actually be pretty tough trying to get the 'perfect' level scores (only collecting melons - there are *exactly* the amount of melons per level as there are fruits required to finish level, and some of them are pretty fiendish to get...)

I love that "oh.. let the wind blow..." or whatever the hell theyre singing tho :P

Yoshi for SNES was one of the best games for SNES. The one for 64 paled in comparison.

Haha, the original Super Mario World was the best mario game by far, probobly the only one ever worth owning. But Mario 64 was cool, as it was the first decent 3D adventure game.

I have heard people hail the SNES Yoshi's Story game as the King of all 2d platformers

It was VERY childish, and it was VERY annoying to hear Mario Cry. The bosses was fun but the levels was dull. It was one of those games that I just played so I could get to the end and quit playing basically.

I actually enjoyed Yoshi's Island more that Mario World. I'm not sure why, but I just found it to be really fun. As for Yoshi Story, well, it was pretty crap. Even my 5 year old cousin got bored with it.
