Moving to Los Angeles sale!

Post by MulletMan13 »

Hey everyone... moving to LA either in October or November, and looking to offload nearly everything I have. Huge collection of media and games and such. I'm just going to copy and paste what I posted on Agora, see if anyones interested:

Alright! Getting rid of the majority of my media for my move out to Los Angeles in the Fall. This is just a collection of things that I need to get rid of. I'll start off by posting the 'big ticket' items, and then list the DVDs and games afterwards. Prices thrown out there are for the individual items-- I am *much, much* more flexible if you are willing to buy a few things at once, and we can work out a deal based on that. Without further ado:

** Xbox 360 Elite**

Xbox 360 Elite Console
120gb Black 'Elite' Drive
White or Black wireless controller-- whichever you would prefer
HDMI Cable or Component cable, again, whichever you would prefer
Power Cords
BioShock
Project Gotham Racing 4 (Still sealed)
Warranty until 12/2010

http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/IB ... directlink
Looking to get $210 shipped for the package

** Micro ATX Home Theater PC **

Put this together about a year ago. Machine runs solid and cool, however the original case fans make a bit of noise. I've run it without the main fan on top, and its nearly silent, however temps get a bit higher (but nothing dangerous or harmful). I always wanted to replace the case fan but never got around to it.
Pentium Dual Core E5200 @ 2.5ghz (http://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu_lookup. ... 40+2.50GHz to see how it still compares favorably)
Micro ATX Mobo ASUS P5GC-MX/1333
Pioneer BD-ROM BDC-2202B RT Drive
9400GT Low Profile Graphics Card
2GB RAM
500gb 7200rpm Samsung HDD

http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/pQ ... directlink

I also had this rig running OSX86, it was purposefully built for that. Everything ran perfectly fine, and never had any hangs or crashes in either 10.6 or Windows 7. Will include a DVI to HDMI Cable as well. Additionally, I have a 4350 low profile graphics card for this, so if you're interested let me know. The only issue is that one of the front USB ports was damaged when I stepped on a flash drive that was inserted (d'oh!), and there is not an IO shield on the back. I used duct tape for most of the time. Not really sure what to ask for this PC-- I'd sooner not part it out, but if it comes to that I guess I will. If you don't want the Blu-Ray drive, I can also replace that and change the price accordingly. Looking for $300 + actual shipping OBO.

** Logitech DiNovo Edge Keyboard **

Had this hooked up to the above PC for its entire life. The battery only has about ten cycles on it, and it's in like new condition. I forgot to include the charging cradle in the picture, but that is, of course, included as well. This keyboard is the most solidly built keyboard I've ever used. Very portable, easy to use and has a built in touchpad on the side. Looking for $80 shipped.
http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/rL ... directlink
** AKG-701 Headphones **
If you're familiar with headphones, then you definitely have heard of these. Require either an amp or a great source. Very transparent. This set probably only has 200 hours of use on it-- unfortunately I do not have the original box, nor do I have the little plastic stand for them. Looking for $195 shipped.
http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/hx ... directlink

** BeyerDynamic DT990 Headphones **

My absolute favorite pair of headphones that I have owned, these sound great out of a low key amp or DAC. Not much else to say, other than they ship in their original box, and have less than 300 hours on them. $170 shipped
http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/4U ... directlink

** Modified Home-Vibe Amp **

Tiny little starter amp. Pretty good for anything listed other than the AKGs. This was a Go-Vibe amp v3 that was modified into a HomeVibe. The op-amp was replaced, and it gets more power input from the AC Adapter. Looking for $35 shipped

http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/MO ... directlink

** Grado SR-60 Headphones **

The fallback for whenever I go out in public. These headphones do not have the original box, but have less than 100 hours on them. Looking for $50 shipped.

** DVDs **
Well, I'm just going to list what I have-- I don't have flat prices or anything in mind, but I'd prefer to ship at least 3 at a time, if not more. Please make offers on whatever you see here that you would like. Unless noted, they are complete in their original case and playable. I don't have children and I keep good care of my things. Lets just say $3 each. $2 for first DVD shipping, 75 cents each additional. If you're buying several, I will definitely offer a discount.

Nintendo Gamecube - cables, controller, I'll throw in a game $30 shipped
Microsoft Xbox - This has been softmodded, and boots up to XBMC. There... may or may not be various ROMS on the hard drive for SNES and Genesis. Will also throw in whatever Xbox games are listed below in this if you want them for a good price. Kindof weird, but the 6 main, long screws that hold the case are missing. I took the Xbox apart to replace the hard drive long ago, but never ended up replacing the screws. The box still stays closed, works fine, and on the plus side, you have VERY easy access to the innards. Includes at least 2 official controller S's. $45 shipped
Nintendo DS Lite - Black $80 with R4 card, $65 without
Comes with charger, stylus and an R4 card with 1gb memory. The R4 cart snapped, but works perfectly, I've included a picture. I forgot the pass through card at my parents house, so this will not ship until I am able to grab that.

** Video Games**
* Xbox * $4 each, unless otherwise noted.
Spinx and the Cursed Mummy
Project Gotham 2
Morrowind
Halo 2
Metal Gear Solid 2
Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory
Stubbs the Zombie $15
Deus Ex Invisible War

* Gamecube * $5 each unless noted

For games and DVDs, shipping will be as follows: $2 for the first, 75 cents for additional. If you buy more I will definitely offer a discount.

If you are local to Milwaukee, WI then local pickup is perfect. In that case, I also have a Rock Band 1 and RB 2 set for the Xbox 360, complete with games. Willing to go pretty low on those if you can pick them up.

Additionally, I work retail, and never know my schedule in advance, so as for when items ship, I can't guarantee next day, or even within two days. Most of the time I work hours that coincide with the post office's, but I am a very trustworthy seller (Feedback on Head-fi.org, Macrumors.com, beer/heat, and ebay all under 'mulletman13').

If you have any questions, whatsoever do not hesitate to ask me. My email is mulletman13 at gmail.com if you'd like to directly email me. Also, if you are local I have a few computer monitors for sale as well. I won't ship them, so I won't list them, but if you would like to know more let me know. 22" Acer and 28" Hanns*G.

EDIT: I forgot to mention that all prices are also OBO

Cheers!

Back to DCEmu. Mostly those prices were just to get prices on the board, not necessarily final. To be honest I'd rather pack as much as I can into one large box, ship it media mail and enjoy the extra space I have. Also willing to accept advice on anything Los Angeles related. 1) I know it's expensive. 2) I know traffic sucks balls. I spent a few years out there as a child, and need to make a life change. Thanks guys.

If you don't mind me asking, why the life change? I've been to Wisconsin, and it seemed like a nice place.

Trust me, LA's not worth it. It's filthy, it's crowded, it's a huge city but you still need to drive to get anywhere because of how spread out it is, and everything is just so... plastic.

The place to be is the San Francisco bay area

I know all of this, and frankly, I'm tired of hearing it. I've lived there before, and been back several times. I have a few friends that are also going out there at this time, so it just makes sense at this point. After living in Milwaukee for over 5 years I need something completely different. This city is absolutely pathetic, and tries to be bigger than it actually is. Aside from going to dive bars, and getting shitfaced drunk every night, there is very little to do when it comes to entertainment. Our 'beach' is closed 8 months of the year, the lake is polluted with sewage, the winters are unbearable, the potholes in the roads can trap a mini cooper, and for the most part, the people are cheap, rude and old-fashioned.

Zero-- shoot me a price for what you'd like. Without those pieces, I would really not prefer to ship the item though, as it would still be rather heavy but hardly worth anything.

If no one wants the 28" monitor before you move – and you don't want to move with it – I'd be willing to take it off your hands (even with an 8 hour one way drive from Minneapolis).
