SNES RPG/Strategy/Adventure games playable on Dreamcast

This is my attempt at making a Super Nintendo rpg, strategy, adventure game compilation for the DC.

Unless marked otherwise, the setting I tested this on are as follows:

tv-mode = no
fullscreen = smooth
refresh = 60hz
sound = mono
transparencies = yes
cpu customizations = yes
mode7 interpolation = no

Also turn "in-game" sound to "mono", if possible to take advantage of option above.

Katakana Sound Settings:
Monaural: モノラル
Stereo: ステレオ

Because of the nature of the DreamSNES emu, you can have games running at fullspeed with moderate to high frameskip, or running slow without much frameskip at all. And then there are problems with specific games, etc...

So, I decided on using a rating system of general playability on a scale of 1 to 5.

1.0 to 2.9 = Horrible, for the most part...
3.0 to 3.4 = My bare minimum to OK for even loading up a game.
If you're not sure you'll agree and/or don't need to play on a tv, play these on a pc.
3.5 to 3.9 = Okay to Good; Maybe same as above, depending on your tastes.
4.0 to 4.4 = Good
4.5 to 5.0 = Great

Games like Dungeon Master, Star Ocean, etc...

Another thing I noticed is for the roms I marked 3 to 3.4, is that they look better in non full screen mode.

The reason I went with a numerical playability score is based on a couple of reasons. The speedometer only tells you how fast the game is running, and not how "choppy" it can be.

I wasn't basing it on emulation accuracy, and admittedley some of these games can get away with running a little slow. Well there it is, and I do realize this is an old emu, and maybe nobody needs this list.

Even with the rom list text, DreamSNES will eventually stop reading the list if there are over 150+ roms, and will start scanning every rom header. Beware this can sound bad, and could shorten the drive's lifespan.

So pick up a copy of Selfboot Inducer and the DreamSNES, Superfamicast, GenesisPlusDC, and NesterDC sbi files. You'll have a nice full disc of RPGs. So you can browse to your SNES folder in superfamicast and actually see what games you're loading, I recommend you use the romlst.exe utility instead of provlist.

If I post the SuperFamicast list... I'll only be posting the games that don't play in DreamSNES, and the ones that play better.

I still use my DreamSnes CD's every now and then, however I have the refresh rate set to 50Hz because I have a Pal DC and games seem to run a bit smoother for me. 8-)

I figure I'll wrap this up...

Pushing the "Control Stick Left" with "Y" brings up an ingame menu, where you can save your game, and turn off different graphic tile layers (bg0 <--> bg3).

Unlike DreamSNES or SNES4all which selectively turn off certain transparencies, Superfamicast turns off "all" transparencies when you deactivate "bg2".
FYI: "Bg3" can be deactivated on most games, but some use the layer in the menu screen.

In the main menu you can set the "Frameskip" and the "Sound" quality. I've marked the settings after the game score.
