New GPWT RomLister

Post by Smurph » Sun Sep 24, 2006 4:58 pm

v0.2 released. This will probably be the final release, unless for some reason I want to add more functionality.

Code: Select all

v0.2
	Added:
		goodcode stripping
		config saving
		more idiot-proofing
	Fixes:
		None
	Other:
		Changed the name
Snag it here.

EDIT: I think I made an error in the goodcode stripping options. Fixing now.

Holy crap.

Oh and hotlinking doesn't work on that host. I also deleted the file to conserve bandwidth, and instead set up a redirect to my host at home. think you could change that link to point to http://patmur.freehostia.com/download/gpwt_lm_dl.html ?

Darksaviour69 wrote:Christuserloeser, did you add that to the GPWT download on cfiles?
No, and maybe we should add it as a seperate download as it requires MS Netframework 1.1.

Would it be very hard to create a stand-alone Windows version Smurph ?

I guess I could re-write it in VB6. Lemme get home first. I'm in class right now without shell access.

so you havn't been added stuff , making comments under the admin user name?

once Smurph gets his new version done, it might be best just to added to the GPWT zip download, or should we host it on cfiles too? bwt when newsposting at dcnews, use cfiles for hosting and not the forum ( if you can) best having the download in one place + you don't need to register to cfiles to download

As you might remember I am not able to register via my various emails that I have, so you've sent me the admin login. If you don't wanna make me comments with that user name, just delete them (as I don't know how).

Also, the file that previously was available at CFiles as a GPWT download was the unscrambled 1st_read.bin only and missing the GUI. I've replaced it with a complete download:

fackue wrote:The file hosted here of GenesisPlus GPWT is actually missing a few of it's GUI files. BlackAura released just the 1ST_READ.BIN to be dropped over Warmtoe's previous releases a couple days before.

'kay, it's done. File is available at the same location. or you can just hotlink to it at http://smurph.ath.cx:81/files/dc/tools/ ... er_v10.zip
The Readme wrote:This version has no external dependencies other than the VB6 runtimes.

NOTE: If your antivirus goes off, get a better antivirus, as it is a
false reading. I simply packed the executable to reduce file size.

Code: Select all

v1.0
	Added:
		Better Progress Bar
	Fixes:
		None
	Other:
Rewrote the entire program in VB6

Moving to VB6 was a good move.

I also mirrored it over at Consolevision.

Great! :D Downloaded and newsposted at DCNews.co.uk:
http://www.dcemu.co.uk/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=37370
and Dreamcast-Scene.com:
http://www.dreamcast-scene.com/communit ... php?t=1087

I also updated the DCS Wiki and the cFiles database:
http://www.dreamcast-scene.com/index.ph ... esisPlusDC
http://dreamcast.dcemu.co.uk/cgi-bin/cf ... 0,0,32,338

...but the update isn't yet present at cFiles.

DS69, I noticed that whenever I vote for a release, it always overwrites the existing vote so it'll still display "1 votes" instead of at least two. :|

yeah i know Christuserloeser, been i hoping to get that fixed at somestage, but the creators of cfiles are not about... but they are know to pop up every 2-3 months on their forum, so i'm keeping an eye ( where are a few other bugs i want to fix)

do u think its should also be uploaded in to the p.c. tools section well?

btw Christuserloeser, work away at cfiles if you see any mistakes, you know morea about the scene than I, so anything you can do is a great help

Thanks a lot for that mate. I'll try to do my best when I got some more time but rest assured that from what I've seen from your work on cfiles, there isn't much work left for me ^^
