1. I personally use A120% for most of my burning.
2. NesterDC SE.
3. Yes.
4. I use DreamSNES and I love it. It does have slowdown in a few games, but it's not stopping me.
5. Ummm you get A120%, Nero, Or DiskJuggler, And Follow One of the 1000's of tutorials on this forum.
6. Umm I would keep it at 1 emu. and roms for that on 1 cd.
7. Like I said, read all the tutorials.
8. Ummm.... It's not needed really. I don't use dummy's and I don't have any problem. All DC's will use the motor more on a CD-R than a GD-ROM so dont worry about that.
9. Ummm it's not complete from what i've heard, need a DC keyboard and it runs off commands. Very slow. Has a port of DOOM on it though from what i've heard.
10. Ummm.. first off.

No, it's not free but you can download a trial.
This should be helpful for burning DC software: http://www.dcemulation.org/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=82700
(It's a tutorial bout using BootDreams, which allows auto-dummying your CDs. And yes dummying never is wrong, except you don't really need it for your test burns)
...and this for DreamSNES: http://www.dcemulation.org/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=83113
..and this for emulation on Dreamcast in general:
http://www.dcemulation.org/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=71861
I'd say, start with http://www.DCEvolution.net and try burning the images we host with BootDreams or Alcohol120%.
Then move on with creating your own images

When I had DiscJuggler installed, I'm pretty sure it was a "time-unlimited" free version but would only burn at the slowest possible speed. I hear it's really flaky and doesn't work well for a lot of people. I had problems with it on my old PC. Nero is a decent program and in my opinion worth investing a few bucks in, but you really don't need it. BootDreams is free and will burn DiscJuggler images, and Selfboot Inducer is free and will let you put several emulators on one disc and burn with the included CDRecord package.

It's really all a matter of taste. NesterDCSE is more compatible with mainstream roms than the original versions of NesterDC. However, it is very difficult to use rom hacks or translated roms with NesterDCSE. NesterDC 7.0 was nice, but was actually a little less compatible than NesterDC 6.0. NesterDC 6.0 was good, but not nearly as nice to look at as NDCSE.Kulluminatii wrote:Looking around on these forums, some people dislike NesterDCSE, saying a version 6.0 and 7.0 were better, is that true, and in what way are they better if it is true?
Put the roms anywhere you want. Then, open the NesterDC SE CD Builder. It will ask you where your roms are. Point it to the directory where you put your roms, and then let it download all of the good stuff you want to go along with your roms. It will automatically compress each of your roms, and copy them into the right directory. Then, there should be a directory there called "datatemp". That's where all of your roms and everything else should be. Of course, when you're finished, there will also be a CDI or NRG file for you to burn. If you want to put your NesterDC SE onto a Selfboot Inducer disc, you'll copy the contents of the datatemp directory after using SBInducer to extract the NDCSE SBI.Also, if NesterDCSE is the best one, where do i put the roms at
Neither - that's GenPlus v0.1. You want Preview 3. Download the SBI from http://dchelp.net/cgi-bin/sbi/browse/br ... rowse&Emus (look for the file called Genplus3_bO.sbi and download it). Windows XP might automatically add a ZIP extension to the file (which is bad if you're going to use SBInducer to build your disc, but good if you're going to extract the files yourself and use BootDreams to build your disc). If it doesn't make it a ZIP file, then you want to rename the file and give it a ZIP extension. Then, point BootDreams to the directory where you unzipped the SBI. It will automatically re-scramble the bin file for you.
