FreeDo's Febuary release?

This forum is for discussion pertaining to homebrew and indie software for the Dreamcast, such as homebrew games, emulators/interpreters, and other homebrew software/applications. Porting requests and developmental ideas are not to be made here; you can make those here. If you need any help burning discs for homebrew software, this is the place to ask as well.

We're experiencing large problem with MySQL database handling with
our current host provider. They are working to solve it, but it took them
too long already. Next step -- change the hosting provider. :(

Your determination is astonishing. Now if you could only channel it toward something a tad more useful.

If he was lying the entire time, it's unlikely that he cares about the reaction it caused. He's probably more upset that he had to take his board down as a result of those who once worshipped him turning against him.

As sad as it is, I think it's best to forget this project. It would have been a great release & possible to boot, but doesn't seem like it'll be done. At least right now. Forget it and maybe (?) things will show up later. Don't think about it though... It would definately be for the best to completely let go.

The majority of peeps here kinda knew from the begining that this was a non starter, FreeDo is not going to be released because it probably never existed in the first place. I call for lock on this thread.

There's no point in locking this, as it doesn't contain flames. Once it stops getting bumped, it will go down to the pits of the forums.

Hello, I'm from the GP2X community and have been trying to get FreeDO ported over to the handheld. The developer is interested in porting FreeDO to the GP2X, but doesn't own the system. So, some are interested in donating to get him one.

Have you tried emailing the developer with the address up on his site? I've been doing it for the last few weeks and he seems to be pretty receptive. I'm pretty sure it's only one guy now, as I've had no contact with anyone else. You can check out the thread on the possible port here:
http://www.gp32x.com/board/index.php?showtopic=29828
Please keep on-topic if you post. Other general questions concerning the nature of the handheld can be answered elsewhere on the site. He gives info on the other versions, including the DC port.

He says the DC version, has only been placed on hold. As a developer, there are lots of projects that are never finished. A project is sometimes delayed for years until people can find time to work on it again. Anyway, I'd like to see your comments, either here or on the GP2X site. Thanks.
Respect, and you will be respected..

Freedo 1.8 has been released.
For Windows. No mention of other consoles. February 2007 then?

The DC version was silently cancelled. There isn't any mention of a DC version in the website.
